are you sure they won't allow amplification? our venue had a restriction listed on their materials, but when we spoke with the venue contact, their actual rules were a lot more flexible, so it may be worth asking.
if their rules are firm, you may be able to amplify indoors, otherwise, you may need to chose between dancing or the gardens :(

So I've fallen in love with Descanso Gardens, but they don't allow amplified music. What exactly does that mean? If I wanted a DJ, I'm assuming he needs to amplify his music. And if I want my guests to dance to the latest and greated, I need amplified music, right? How can guests dance to acoustic music? I mean, it's cool listening to acoustic music, but to dance to it might be different isn't it? Don't you need loud, boomin' music to dance to?
Also, anyone been to weddings or had a wedding at Descanso Gardens? Any problems? How was Patina's food?
