If your hair person does good makeup and vice-versa, then I would go with 1.  But I wouldn’t compromise if I couldn’t find the special one.

I have a hair lady who is bringing an assistant and 1 makeup lady. For me it was a time thing. There are 8 people needing hair and makeup and I wanted to be sure we didn’t run over.

1 person is so much easier and usually cheaper. as long as you don’t have a lot of people, 1 person is fine. my hair/makeup artist told me they schedule 1 hour per person with an extra half hour for the bride…so that would be 3.5 hours for you.

    Hi

one of my sisters had used a make up artist and hairstylist from http://www.entertainoz.com.au/ and she came with an assistant..also it works out cheaper if you have one person helping the main artist especially if she is going to be attending to you and someone else as well, you dont want any mishaps on the day of your wedding.

We had a separate person for hair and make-up and I think it worked out great!

ETA: We did have me, both moms, my grandma, and 3 bridesmaids who got hair and make-up done though so we had more people.
