@Love-Bug1993:  haha there are a bunch of phrases like that here on this forum.  If you want to feel really confused, go look at the TTC boards.  It’s like a foreign language.

@housebee:  Haha, I used to wonder what TTC meant but I knew it meant something to do with getting pregnant. One day as I was driving home, randomly it popped into my head, “it means trying to conceive!!” lol

I’m intrigued – DIY is a common usage term in the UK (people spend their bank holiday weekends doing DIY in their house, we have DIY stores, etc). I take it that isn’t the case in the US?

it is common use now, but i really don’t think it was up until not that long ago
