I won't make it for the post-a-thon tomorrow ... and I'm at my parents' house while CW works ... so I'm wondering - what are the ladies here up to tonight? I'm baking a cake ...

Right now, we're lounging around watching tv and waiting for homemade chocolate chip cookies to be done - mmmm!!!

And I'm also staring lovingly at my wedding shoes that came in the mail today! What a great way to end my crappy day of classes!!!

I am loafing and watching BF play a video game.  I'm debating if I want to draw him a picture for his cube.

@amanda.lynn: did he love the list?! i did it for two weeks leading up to our year (14 things that he did each day that i loved) i was supposed to start this list five months ago to be easier. oops!

@everyone else that commented (too sick and lazy to put everyone's names, but i guess i could have since i typed all of that but oh well) he does so much for me that it's the least i could do. it's sort of fun but i cannot remember all of it so i am glad i still have until the end of the month! (our anniversary is the 1st)

@alishaneva: is that chocolate or red velvet cake your licking? Oh and I might just sneak on over and get some...yum

@crebre: your still not feeling well? Get better soon!

I'm waiting for project runway to come on. I missed most of the season but saw a marathon the other night and now I'm hooked on finding out the results. The episode where they had to turn wedding dresses into an outfit for the divorce was crazy! Some of those wedding dresses, but then some of the ones the made were amazing!!

@crebre - Yes! He did love it!! I actually gave it to a few months before I left to go to college (he was staying in our hometown, about 2 hours away) and I put all of the reasons in a big vase (I cut them into individual strips and folded them and put them in the vase), so that he could pull one out every day for the next year. I don't think he actually did it like that, but I know he did end up reading all of them, and he loved it.

@sanddollar - red velvet!!! It was such delicious batter... and now it's done baking. So I'm waiting for it to cool and doing some laundry. It's 8:45 at night and I have a HUGE burst of energy! I swear this happens at the worst possible times. And wasn't that wedding dress episode awesome? I keep meaning to base a blog post on that ...

Mmmmm red velvet. My fave! Right now I'm watching the Virginia Tech game - FI wants to watch The Orphan. I'm gonna go dry my hair and decide whether or not that's a good idea LOL. Last scary movie we watched was bad bad bad.

@alishaneva: I thought it was red velvet! But I wasn't sure...sometimes chocolate looks "red" on camera. And I would totally not wait till it was cool. I'd dig right in! That wedding dress episode was crazy. I can't believe some of the colors they were able to dye the fabric to. Carol Hannah is my favorite...maybe because she works in bridal?!

@honeybun: scary movies! Ahh I hate them. I don't think I've ever actually seen one either...Sleepy Hollow but that's not really scary because we all grew up with the story.

@surkim: LOL! East Carolina...we're winning, but not like we should be...6-0. 2nd quarter just started - it's on ESPN. (and I didn't know either 'til I heard someone talking about it in the grocery store on my way home!)

@amandalynn: I'll keep you posted! Everything I've read/heard on this one says it's super scary. The previews give me a "The Ring" vibe, and that one scared me so bad I made FI go to the bathroom with me afterward because I was scared to go pee alone HAHAHA.

The Orphan ... still haven't seen that. Think I'm gonna watch Elf.

    @honeybun - it's my favorite, too!

@MsLouboutin - my mom used to clean the house for the cleaning lady to come ... I used to giggle at that until I grew up! And pass me some wine over - I'd love to have some with my cake cause you know its not all making it into the cake balls. I'll end up with like 5 cake balls to take with me to my friend's party .... oops.

I went to choir practice, I just finished one blog post, and I'm working on another to post tonight! When my man gets home we're going to carve pumpkins (we're only a little late in the game on that one, haha). Can't wait to get my hands messy!

@sanddollar: I like scary movies, as long as they don't cross over into being disturbing (like Saw...I haven't watched any of those). The last one we watched that I said was bad was Last House on the Left. And I don't think it gets much worse than that one......

@honeybun: even when I was a student I didn't know when the games were...

I told BF we'd need to see The Orphan when it's on netflix streaming, we have a habit of trying to watch a "scary" movie every weekend.

@honeybun: I did see one! haha The Hills Have Eyes. It was on a date. We went to see something else but I knew he didn't really want to see it and wanted to see The Hills Have Eyes instead so I said we could see that. I remember looking at the floor the entire time and waiting for it to be over. Needless to say there was not a second date with him!

@Minutiae: maybe you could use the pumpkins as Thanksgiving centerpieces. And who cares if your a little late? Still fun!

@SD: I know! Pumpkin carving is always fun! Unless, of course, your SO is so busy that he keeps putting off the carving and the pumpkins go rotten. Not that I'm worried about that happening or anything...*checks watch, looks sadly at pumpkins* There's only so much I'll stick my hands into, buddy.

Already made dinner (gluten free pasta with roasted cauliflower, caramelized onions, and sauteed mushrooms with fresh thyme), and now baking some muffins for FI to take on his business trip (Roasted Banana & Brown Butter Muffins). Got his stuff packed up and ready to go- I swear I'm turning in to my father hah, I basically prepare him for the zombie apocolypse (full car kit, taser, all chargers, flashlights, extra food and water, med kit, stack of quarters, extra cash, etc. etc.) yeah it's terrible I know :P

I'm waiting for my last class of the day, in 10 minutes, been here for approximately 7 hours and officially OVER IT. After class I'm taking FI to celebrate he just got a promotion and raise...WOO HOO!!!

@fifty: Relax girlie, when I took my E pics, I was super nervous for the first 20 minutes and had some really awkward moments (my FI and I are not really PDA'ers so it was freaking weird to kiss and embrace). We had a lot of fun after a while and we were coming up with fun poses. Just enjoy your day that way when you look at your e-pics you'll remember how much fun it was and how gorgeous you two look :-D

@crebre: Garlic and vampires! Hilarious but I'm glad your feeling a little better. The garlic thing reminds me that my mom just read something about placing onions around...that people place them around and in the morning they are black and feel better. They used to use it against the black plague. I'm not sure if it works, but she went out and got bags of onions because she doesn't want me getting either flue! Haha maybe it would work for you. Let me know if you give it a try
