Good luck! I made my first one a few weeks ago. I'll leave it at that.
Honey chicken, or something. I know what goes in it but I don't know what it's called.
Going to make a bean and veggie soup tonight. It has been cold and raining the past couple of days and I would really like some soup to warm me up! And probably a cajun chickpea burger.
@ejs, salmon is not yawn! I love salmon! Cut it into strips and put it in a creamy pasta with peas and broad beans :) Definitely not yawn then!
Tonight I had a sandwich for dinner. I had quite a big lunch so I wasn't hugely hungry.
Well if the brisket tastes as good as it smells then I think i'll have a hit!
I'm trying a new recipe tonight: Italian Chicken Bundles. Looks yummy, but I just checked the calorie contest on the frozen puff pastry sheets...yikes! This will have to be a once-in-a-while meal!
Don't know yet, I'm at work and my husband is at home, so he's cooking. It'll be a surprise!
Mmm, I love brisket! I usually crock pot it, it's so easy.
I'm making grilled chicken pitas with homemade cucumber sauce, feta, and tomatoes. Not sure of side dishes yet. Baked potato? Rice? Maybe salad, since it's about 90 degrees here.
I threw together a gazpacho, but I haven't decided what I'm pairing it with just yet. It's a heat wave here right now so I don't feel like cooking anything hot! Maybe just soup and sourdough bread. Plus some homemade frozen yogurt to cool off :)
I am thinking some more pulled pork sandwiches. But I think my mom said something about frying pork chops. If I go that route, it will just be rice, pork chops and pickled veggies. Unless I just eat restaurant food for dinner, then it will be fried rice, teriyaki chicken with lots of broccoli and mushrooms...hmmm I may just get them to cook me a bunch of broccoli and mushroom so I can have that for tomorrow lunch instead...
Quinoa and black bean veggie burgers from Whole Foods - feeling lazy tonight because I just worked 6 days of shifts in a row - anyone who works in health care knows how exhausting that is!
It's like 100 degrees out here so nothing hot...really I just want ice cream and strawberries but realistically I'm thinking salad and tuna wraps.
Chicken saltimbocca! Just got a whole bunch of cookbooks for my bridal shower and I'm trying something new tonight.
I took ground beef out of the freezer on Saturday with the intention of using them for burgers at a picnic yesterday. Our host didn't need it so it came back home with us. I'll be using it tonight for meatloaf and mashed potatoes. It's been cloudy, gray and cold where I am today so this meal should heat the house up.
Tuna melts, tonight. I bought a ton of herbs at the farmer's market on Saturday - dill being one of them. So, it's tuna melts and potato salad, both with lota of dill.
:-)
were eating out... kfc.. i'm cooked out after this weekend!
Pizza! I had a pretty crappy weekend, so I told Mr. C I wasn't cooking tonight and that I'm being completely lazy! :)
I'm so excited this post actually took off. Most of my posts are usually duds, this makes me happy!
bloodgo- we just had baked chicken, asparagus, and homemade bread!
jessesgirl- I know the feeling. It feels crummy when no one responds to your posts.
@LittleOctopus: I think we are having Chicken Saltimbocca too! We had it the other night and have leftovers to make everything again for it. If you happened to recieve the Williams Sonoma chicken cookbook, thats the recipe I used and it was amazing! Well probably have some left over homemade baked mac and cheese from last night too :)
@naangel55: Woohoo! I got my recipe out of the Everyday Italian cookbook. We still haven't eaten yet...just enjoying our lazy evening together :)
Hope everyone's dinners were/are delicious!
I'm making blackend catfish and dirty cajun rice. So easy and yummy.
I love trying new recipes.
Like @cardigan: we are doing pizza too! It's been an emotional weekend and I am in no mood to do any sort of cooking :/
The boy is making oven-fried chicken tonight. I think we're going to make corn on the cob and horseradish mashed potatoes.
@JessesGirl: Which recipe did you use? Sounds YUM!
We had homemade lasagna tonight with some peas. I don't usually pair lasagna with peas but it's one of the only veggies our toddler will eat so we compromise. ;) Dinner was great!
@ MasiLove918 I used a Paula Deen recipe here is the link.

I am making a brisket for the first time today. It is a Paula Deen recipe I found on Food Network's website. It smells so good, I hope it comes out yummy.
What are you making for dinner tonight?
