More food from a bag for me! Husband is going to be gone until late tomorrow night.
We are skipping the corned beef and cabbage this year for our diets. :( But we are having delicious vegetarian black bean chili tonight, so it almost makes up for it.
Ohhh I like the festive meal! Great Idea!
I'm thinking something simple, so prob my cordon bleu casserole :)
I'm not hungry right now so it's a little tough for me to think about dinner.
I'll tell you what was for lunch though! Chicken strips and tator tots LOL!
(I know, really nutritious)
We eat tuna every night! ;) I am tuna obsessed. Mmm, mercury on a plate. Delish!
Fi would love if I cooked some corned beef and cabbage--but I have no clue how to, and I hate cabbage! SOL, I guess.
My DH is in China for work so it's "graze all night on random bits from the fridge" for dinner tonight!
i just had cereal... in about an hour i'll have salad, followed by more cereal and some peanut m&ms. :)
Kangaroo teriyaki stirfry! Kangaroo is really low in fat and tasty mmmm!
Spaghetti! Gotta love leftovers.
@B_Tamara: That sounds awesome. I don't think we can get Kangaroo meat in the states.
@AnnieAAA will you share your cordon bleu casserole? Sounds yummy :)
Corned beef and cabbage...with potatoes and carrots. And yes, ours is in the crockpot too. I think the meat turns out a bit more tender in the crockpot (actually, it's just about idiot-proof, which is why I do it that way).
This thread reminded me that I didn't take anything out to cook. Looks like fast food for our house tonight!
Climbing gym tonight, so dinner isn't until around 10pm. Thanks to St. Patty's day, I'll be on a liquid diet tonight. :)
It's pizza night - that's my partner's favorite night, so he's really excited. I have homemade sauce from last week in the freezer, which makes my life easier and is way better than jarred. Mr. Joe is providing the dough, though, since I don't have the patience for any sort of yeastery.
Since the hubs is off today, I am leaving dinner up to him. When I spoke with him earlier it sounded like he was heading towards pizza. We will see.
Husband isn't getting home until almost midnight so just easy make stuff again. I wish I had real food that was easy to make.
We decided not to do corned beef and cabbage tonight, since neither of us are home until after 7pm, and we don’t have a crockpot…..SO, we’re having spaghetti squash with pesto, from this local farm that makes the most amazing pesto ever. We’re having that with some small steaks, and probably a big green salad from the same local farm we get the pesto from.
I would do Fish n Chips but it's lent and we've been eating fish every friday!
I'm getting ready to pull the shepherds pie out :-)
I forgot it was St. Patty's Day! Lame. I know. So we'll be having taco night for dinner. We make them w/ ground turkey, lettuce, salsa, cheese, and avacado. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!
Mmm just taled to FI we going to BBQ tonight! Grilled asparagus, zuchinis, and a vegie burger for me!! That's healthy right!!!
Cornmeal pork marinated in... apple cider vinegar, olive oil, dijon mustard...
I actually had a very big and late lunch so I put the meat in the oven for my DH but won't be eating, so he'll have to figure out the veggies for himself! Knowing him, he might just have the meat... ;)
corned beef, cabbage and potatoes! though it's the pre-cooked meat from tj's since i'm lame.. :)
Lemongrass chicken, brown rice, and homegrown squash. And it's a complete dinner with multiple food groups only because I visited my parents yesterday and my mama sent home some food with me. :)
Pasta with peas, bacon bits, mushrooms, shallots, a little garlic, salt, pepper, and cheese. I might toss-in some spinach to really green/lighten it up.
Tonight I'm having pesto-chicken-goat cheese pizza, thanks to a craving hotchildinthecity gave me the other day! We make our own whole wheat pizza dough, we have a pizza stone, and it is NUMMY NUMMY NUMMY.

With it being close to St. Patrick's day, I made Corned beef and cabbage in the slow cooker today... well it's cooking right now. Oh, DH grew up with ham and cabbage so there's also ham.
Can't wait to come home and see how it turned out. I made it last year and he loved it. Last year, I didn't do it in the slow cooker... hoping it turned out ok.
