Tonight I'm making Asiago Chicken Alfredo with Bruschetta for the SO and myself.
My Step-Dad is Italian and he would be so proud :) I didn't buy the pre-bottled sauce, I made it from scratch. Everytime I say I make it from the canned sauce he gets this look of horror on his face. So last time I visited we made it together and now I know how easy it is.
What are you Bee's making for Dinner tonight??
@Future_Ms.Bostonceltics: Can me and FI come to YOUR house for dinner???
Cause we're only having turkey burgers and salad.
**** edit .. i just saw you're in Canada ... we're in Florida ... that creates a distance problem lol
Slow cooked pot roast with baby reds, corn, and french bread. I love my crock pot, we have a special understanding :).
Oh and pie, that I bought that I think is disgusting but FI loves it lol.
@HisIrishPrincess: Of Course!!! Turkey Burgers sound good to me.... we have that frequently as well.
I just made a big pot of chili. It is simmering away on the stove I am contemplating making some cornbread to go with it, now.
I made a really good dinner two nights ago, so tonight we're having probably either pizza or pasta. Easy easy easy since I had a long hard day at work.
Burgers and fries here too. It really is insane, it is January and DH is out on the patio grilling.
Greek inspired turkey meatballs, cucumber and blood orange salad and ricer crackers dipped in an avocado, pineapple salsa. Yummy!
You all make me feel like a slacker! I'm making spaghetti. Plain old boring sauce and noodles.
@chasesgirl: SO is the same way. He bundles up with his jacket and mitts and grills all the time in the winter. He calls it his domain. He wanted to grill tonight, but I was hell bent on proving to him I could make the alfredo from scratch, just as good as my step-dad..... fingers crossed lmao.
Baked macaroni and cheese with a salad (only cause I am part of a salad club at work, so I bought two things of salad and tons of people were away! We are now eating salad with almost every meal haha!).
Lasagna, herb-green onion bread sticks, salad, and a dark chocolate chip pound cake.

@takemyhand: I love Mac & Cheese, especially baked. My SO isn't Canadian, so he doesn't understand the whole Mac & Cheese thing. I know it's not just a Canadian thing, but it really is so friggin' popular lol.
We had roast beef, red skinned mashed potatoes, peas, rolls and red velvet cake for dessert.
Hubby is making homemade onion rings right now for a snack. I will serve a salad and then Chicken and Rice for dinner.
We have some frozen yogurt in the freezer for dessert!
Yum!
honey and spice glazed pork chops, which I got from the Pinterest recipes thread :3
http://joelens.blogspot.com/2011/10/honey-spice-glazed-pork-chops.html
I also made a pasta salad earlier to be a side dish, think I used too many herbs but it'll do >_<!!
Ribs that have been in the crockpot all day! They smell so good.
With salad and potatoes!
We made homemade burgers topped with provolone cheese, sauteed onions & mushrooms and bbq sauce. They were OK. I wasn't totally feeling them for some reason.
@elysion: If you like that, try using pepper jelly watered down as a glaze. super easy and so tasty. Put it on the last few minutes of a roast.
Prawn, artichoke and feta quesadillas with a pear and walnut salad! Yummm!
Left overs from last night.... I made honey dijon pecan crusted salmon, green bean casserole and candied yams. They're in the oven now and I can't wait to eat them again :)
Turkey Chili simmering on the stove while we watch football. Will be making some cornbread at halftime.
A concoction I created: you take cream cheese, and a can of diced tomatoes and bring to simmer until all the cream cheese is melted. Then I mix in crumbled bacon, mushrooms, and sometimes chicken and put it over bow tie pasta. Yummy!
We are having a sweet potato, beef bacon, and pomegrante seed salad. Nothing too exciting because we are having such a lazy Sunday!
White fish baked in a lemon butter sauce and some biscuites that the recipe says are suppose to be like the ones form red Lobster.
Everyone here is all fancy, lol. I'm eating leftover lasagna that my mom brought me when she visited today, lol.
I just made tuscan white beans with shrimp, spinach, and feta: http://www.skinnytaste.com/2011/12/tuscan-white-beans-with-spinach-shrimp.html. It was a very interesting ingredient combination but it turned out really good!
@USAandKSA: omg, I love those red lobster copy cat biscuits!
We're being lazy and ordering pizza since we were out all day! And it's not even the "real" stuff that we have in NJ- it's Dominos! We're feeling super lazy and gluttonous tonight LOL
The verdict is in......... SO loved the Alfredo and asked if I could make it again soon! :) I'm not the best cook in the world, so that meant alot to me.
Sounds like everyone is having some yummy dinners!
Steak stir fry with yellow and green bell peppers in a soy/white wine sauce. Yum!
Where does everyone get their dinner ideas and recipes from? I mostly use allrecipes.com.
