We’re trying to figure out what we’ll put in ours for our family and friends venturing out to Brooklyn for our wedding.
What’s in yours? Also do you just leave them at the hotel with the names and ask for them to be put in the rooms? I have no idea how it works.

You can leave them at the front desk so when guest check in they can receive them then.
You can put in whatever you want 🙂
-some type of treat-most try to incorporate something local, but regular cookies, trail mix etc works just as well
-list of important phone numbers (yours, FI, any important member of the wedding party & hotel)
In addition to the above I am going to include SFP chapstick/lip gloss, band-aides, nail files, travel size sun tan lotion, beach towel, travel size aloe vera, and shout wipes bc it will be in Hawaii on a cruise.

We are in San Diego, so we are doing local items. A beach bag with surfboard shaped tortilla chips, local salsa, sunscreen, 2 bottles of water (with fun custom wrap we made), California trailmix, box of Swedish Fish, maps, Rehearsal Dinner info if applies and ‘first aid’ kit for friends or travel candle for older guests. Also included is a thank you note for their travels.
Each hotel had a different set of ‘rules’ for drop offs. We are tying a “flip flop” card with their names on it for the hotels to know who gets them. Do yourself a favor and make a spreadsheet of just your out of town guests with their hotel name and leave that for your hotel contact. Make sure to ask when they need them by and if there is a charge for the staff to deliver.
Have FUN with them and good luck!

We are including a thank for coming note, waters, cookies from a local bakery, salt water taffy (local), advil and Emergen-C (for hangovers…), a map/itinerary/directions/phone number/local restaurants card, shuttle information for transportation to the venue, gum or mints, and some sort of salty snack.
I was orginally looking for some sort of cute beach bag/sand bucket, but got lazy and ran out of time, so we are putting everything in plain brown gift bags tied with navy blue ribbon (our wedding color). We are also labeling the bags with the couples’ names so that we can keep track of who already picked up their bag.
I think how you get the bags to your guests totally depends on the hotel. Our hotels charges $2/room to put them in the rooms, and all of our guests are arriving at different times, so we will just have guests pick up their bags when they check in.
