I just did the invite, enclosure/reception card and response card. I saved a little money by combining the enclosure and reception cards since the reception is at the same site as the ceremony (just up the road a few steps)!

Our suite included…

  • Reception card with directions on back
  • Info card (accommodations, wedding website)
  • RSVP card
  • RSVP envelope w/ stamp
  • Inner envelope
  • Outer envelope

It sounds like more listed out than it appeared to be when assembled. 😉

We did pocketfolds in one envelope (no inner envelope). On the main part of the pocketfold, we had the main invite. In the pocket, I had an RSVP postcard (no envelope) and a reception card. I wanted to minimize the paper so I only did two inserts.

I am a little nervous about how “simple” our invitations are in that they don’t contain many components.

Our invitation is just an outer envelope, the invite itself, RSVP postcard, and a little enclosure card saying “Please visit [wedding website address] for information regarding directions, parking, and accommodations.”

Everyone we know is tech-savvy enough (even FI’s grandparents have email) that we figured it will be easy enough for guests to visit our site to find out where the local parking ramps are, hotel block info, see the map I drew up, etc.  I hope we’re right and it doesn’t cause confusion!  Undecided

(Our ceremony/reception is in the same venue.)

@juliette.eliza:  Ah!  You did the same as us.  So glad to see that.  I’m worrying about our wedding website card instead of the more traditional map and all that.

(I think I’m at that stage in planning where I’m wasting energy worrying about small details…)

you are!  I’m there too.  I’m losing sleep over the color of the letters on our cardbox. Really.

We just had the invite and a RSVP postcard… easy peasy! Our website (at the bottom of the invite) gave all the other necessary information.

@GroovyHippieChick:  Haha!  Oh, man.  Well, I’m glad you can relate – but don’t worry yourself over that.  Wink  I’m sure it will look great no matter what the color of the letters!
