@Pinkmoon:  I can’t believe we’re under 6 months!!! It’s crazy, right?

Recently We Finished:

  • We got our save the dates in, after much drama with the Etsy seller. They turned out perfectly, though, and now they’re with our calligrapher getting addressed.
  • My dress came in!! Wooo hoo! I haven’t seen it yet, and they told me my first fitting shouldn’t be till December. I think I’m going to do it early, when my parents visit in October, since they’ve never seen it.
  • Our photographer is submitting our engagement shoot to blogs, so we’re wrapping up our “Love Story” to go with it.
  • Finished our Registry!

We Still Have To (in the next few months)

  • Do everything.
  • Go over the floral design with our wedding planner and florist
  • Review cake quotes
  • Get the FI’s custom suit ordered. We get to pick the fabric, lining, shape, trim, etc. It’s like a build a suit bar!
  • Do my first dress fitting.
  • Find a veil
  • Finalize timeline with our planner and DJ.
  • Order invitations.
  • Tastings and menu (Did I mention I LOVE to eat?)
  • Buy bridesmaid gifts.
  • Have a fabulous shower and bachelorette
  • Start picking out music for our ceremony and reception, as well as make a “must play” and “absolutely, under no circumstances will you play these songs” list.
  • Plan out our ceremony and decide on content (our dear friend is marrying us)
  • Do everything. E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G.

Ours is a mostly DIY wedding, so I have a lot of friends helping me with stuff.

DONE:

bought the dress, veil & slip

lined up a friend to do hair & makeup (he offered)

lined up several friends to cook the food

hired a co worker to do cupcakes

paid rental fee for venue (just did this today)

lined up friend to sing

LEFT:

get marriage license

buy tablecloths (found some on craigslist for cheaper than buying disposable)

figure out dishware (plastic vs. thrift store real dishes)

figure out photographer (friend of a friend)

finalize invitations, print, assemble & mail

finish jewelry for friends’ gifts (not wedding jewelry, just a thank you for helping me)

finish must have photo list

rent sound system

buy food

I’m sure I’m forgetting a lot.

I’m so sad that I didn’t check out the February Boards months ago!!!!! At least I found them now!

@hermrs: I’m on the rhinestone ribbon train with you haha. Was it hard for you to find?!

Let’s see

Recently I finished:

– Making the “Meet the Bridal Party” photo collage frame (instead of programs)

– Bought our guest book/picture

– Booked our rehearsal dinner venue

– Finally registered!

– My dress came in! And picked up the Bridesmaid dresses

– Picked out tuxes

– Made/glittered table numbers

– Book photo booth

– Bought everything for escort cards

– Halfway to finishing assembling invitations!

– Bought half the crystal candle holders for tables

I still have to:

– Book a party bus for guests

– Decide on ceremony musicians (I left this to my sister uggghhhh!!!)

– Buy rings

– Actually start thinking about songs…

– Make photo album for photo booth

– Get a passport!

– Get wine box for ceremony

– Get/make card box

– Order favor boxes for cookies

– Decide on popcorn bar

– Buy 30 more candle holders

– Finish assembling the invitations

I’ve noticed that since all the big stuff is done, I keep adding things that I want to do, but don’t need… I don’t need candles on the tables… but with less to do, the thought pops into my head ugh! Anyone else have this problem?!
