Someone else's post about Christmas cards on their coffee table got me thinking, what's on your coffee table? Is it messy? Clean? Right now I have an unfinished 1000 piece peacock jigsaw puzzle and maybe a coaster or two.
I don't have a coffee table! I have an ottoman and my feet are on it - does that count?
A bunch of school junk because we are in the middle of finals at our house! Binders, loose leaf, study notes, highliters, you name it!
Mine has three Christmas scented candles, a lighter for the candles, a bunch of mail I just opened, and some paperwork of FI's. The candles are far enough away from the papers though. lol.
A couple of snowmen, some coasters, and a box of kleenex (husbands allergies).
it's really messy! i have christmas cards, a season of friends, 2 decorating magazines, a lint brush, and some bills... time to clean lol.
Mine has my fi and my computers, our books for school, some pens, sometimes a glass of iced tea, remotes, bills, magazines, and sometimes my feet. So cluttered! But in NYC theres not much room elsewhere.
A round glass florists container (that I totally stole from work) filled with Christmas M&M's. Yankee Candle "Christmas Wreath" cuz we have a fake tree & it smells awesome. The remote & umm... goldfish crackers cuz I'm a 5yr year old. ;)
Yeah, like Future Mrs. Martin, we have an ottoman with a large charger thing on it.. nothing's on it.
A box of tissues, some old mail, and a wooden planter filled with fake wheatgrass--it's our NYC-style lawn.
4 jar candles (yeah, I need to put some away), magazines, coasters...and I have some books on the shelves beneath the coffee table.
Oh, goodness where do I start? Well, I'm the one who was talking about Christmas cards on my coffee table (or at least I did mention that, don't know if I'm who you're talking about, haha) but right now it's SO messy! We've got Christmas cards (finally in their envelopes), magazines, leftover craft supplies, a coat, a tote bag, wii controllers, my purse....I need to clean! :-)
Too much crap, that's what's on my coffee table :)
The odder things: Molly McButter flavor sprinkles, a measuring tape, a dead Metro Card, my old cell phone, and a bottle of mustard.
One matchbox car (sons). A transformer (sons). Lone airsoft pellet (sons also). Large decorative candle. Glass of tea.
FI's chess set and gamer mag, BRIDE, Spleandor (another book). And my Wii remotes. lol.
I don't have a coffee table...but it was my idea to put a glass bowl on MinMan's! Does that count? :P
I have an obsessive compulsive personality and need clean, tidy surfaces. I'll organize the remotes on his coffee table if they're out of line. The funny thing is, that bowl is meant as a catchall, but he's so OC that there's usually nothing in it! It's just...the bowl. And the remotes. And I still want to hide the remotes because they're ugly.
Sigh. We were clearly meant to be together.
Coasters, the remote, a jute basket filled with gold + burgundy ornaments (kind of like a centerpiece), and a few magazines that we're still reading.
an embarrassing amount of wedding magazines, bills and a box of tissues.
A tv remote, an Xbox controller and a coaster! Our cats like to jump up on the coffee table so I try to avoid having too much on there for them to mess with :)
@ Gilneas OMG they still make Molly McButter? I used to love that stuff. LOL
We've got our proof book :) and our guest book... I feel like such a wedding geek!
Ours has a keyboard and mouse for the media centre, my P90X workout sheet, and a coaster. I try to keep it as clean as possible, but most of the time it is covered with magazines, cups, and other stuff. Martha Stewart would be horrified if she visited!
umm my brush, clip, telephone, wreath/candle centerpeice.. FI ashtray cigs, lighter..keys, glass of dr.p lol
I have "The Shack", "Rachel Ray Cookbook" "Trader Joes: Sea Salt Dark Chocolate box", swag from a casino in NM. All courtesy of my FMIL. Plus some homework papers and tons of dust. LOL
My cat Stitch! He constantly lays on the coffee table and we have pretty much given up getting him off. Our is also ottoman style. Picture for proof :)

Aww he's so cute! We have two cats, and they love to have one get on the table and then slap at the other one hiding underneath.
yeah, haha He's sleeping on FI's book and the checks I just used to pay a bill!
We don't have a coffee table yet. Oddly, there wasn't one to come with the house.
I have a coffee table with a shelf underneath that has about a hundred magazines and some games on it. On top of the table is a silver dish with a bunch of gems/rocks in it and some coffee table books: So 80s ( a photog's book of 80s celebrity pics) and 1,000 Places to See Before You Die.
i work from home and off of the couch mostly, so there is generally my laptop, 3 legal pads, a stack of random legal documents, my cell phone, and my breakfast dishes. :)
A hefty glass of wine and all my school work! Is the semester over yet?
@Arineya - Is that really a coffin? That is awesome looking!
Our coffee table needs to be wiped off, other than that, it has my drink, some coasters, and the remote.. it's a small table.
Mine's usually pretty clean: a pretty sparkling lemonade bottle with a fake flower from Ikea. But right now there's also some Goodwill crap sitting on top of it.
Oh, and there's a Dr. Who pop-up book inside for your reading pleasure. :)
@ Arizonabride & Puggy, thank you! :) It was made by some horror prop making friends of ours. We'd use a real modern coffin, but they're all domed top. But we're getting two for the guest room ;)
