Thank you notes! Our wedding was 3/27 and I'm still looking for motivation. :)
Good luck on your list, GFoxBride!
-registering at our second store
-checking out the local flea market with a fellow bee to look for good buys on potential decor
-continuing to obsess over centerpieces
happy (almost) weekend to all the bees!
P.S. Glad you are having a band. We chose to cut corners in some areas so that we could have a live band and it was awesome! Our guests really enjoyed the live music and the dance floor was packed the entire time. So many people remarked, "wow - live music at reception really makes a huge difference!"
Trying to find cheap vases for our centerpieces and that is it!
We just got our STD's out in the mail yesterday, I booked hotel blocks @ 2 different venues today for our OOT guests, updated our wedding website and finally found centerpieces that I LOVE. I'm taking a wedding break for the weekend! But of course I'll still be obsessed with WB
-SEND MY INVITATIONS!!!! (I'm excited about that one, can you tell?)
-Work on wedding week timeline
-Finalize ceremony details
-Put together bridesmaid gifts
-Gaze lovingly at my wedding band, which just arrived this week
-Start working on OOT bags
Stuffing invitations (stamping, labeling, stuffing...)
Programs pages 1 & 2.. cut and put the hole for the eyelet in them (that tool totally makes my fingers go numb by the way...)
Call the church musician
Get ahold of caterer & dj to schedule meeting...
Try to get FI to decide on groomsmen gifts.
Finish BM gifts.
Start escort card stands.
knocking off the gifts for the groomsmen and my brides man I hope
and hopefully assembling some more invitations
We're meeting with our florist to see samples of the centerpieces and (I think?) samples of the bouquets. And I need to write our ceremony. I was half-way through when our computer crashed and I lost it. I have been putting it off because I didn't want to start from scratch, but I don't think I can put it off much longer.
This is my last weekend before the wedding!
To do:
-confirm bus pick-up locations with bus company
-order one more button-hole
-book rehearsal dinner
-send programme files to printer
-book trains between honeymoon locations and final hotel
-buy clothes for the honeymoon
-buy gifts for ceremony readers
-bachelorette!
We have a very busy wedding weekend. Things I'm doing (mostly with FI or my Mom):
- shopping for dresses to wear to my wedding showers
- purchasing and wrapping the remainder of the wedding shower hostess gifts
- shopping for bridesmaids jewelry
- officially hire my last vendor (DOC)
- finishing the guest book
- selecting the ceremony music
- finalizing the programs
- working on the info booklet for our OOT bags
- generally get organized on projects and to dos for the next few weeks
Finding a flower girl dress for my daughter, meeting with florist to go over last minute details, eat healthier, work!
order ketubah
wrap bridal party gifts
clean house (ok, thats not a wedding task but it would help with organizing the mess that is the "Wedding Corner")
Two items: finalize DJ worksheet and finalize rehearsal dinner menu.
FI and I have reached an agreement - one project a week until we're done. Or until it hits crunch time and I have to make his life suck :-)
Get my FI to pick out his tux!!!! We have to go take pics of him getting measured because half of his GM are coming from out of the country and we dont know their sizes.... so for each measurement there will need to be a picture...
7 weeks to go. It's crunch time.
-Call my DOC (aka one of my good friends who is a wedding planner and has graciously offered up her help to me)
-Decide on an engagement photo to have enlarged for part of our "guest book"
-Work on our "guest book."
-Start putting together our DIY centerpieces
-Meet with florist to finalize bouquet, corsages, bouttonieres, and payments
-Compile important must-have music for DJ
Shop for my wedding band
Buy candles and some other misc. items
Order favors
Order items for OOT bags
Spend some much needed quality time with my FI!
Happy Friday ladies! Have a wonderful weekend!!!
My wedding band arrived today!!!! That was a much anticipated item on my weekend list that just got checked off ;)
Also up:
Co-hosting a couples Stock-The-Bar Bridal shower for one of my BM's
Finishing my cake-topper
Sending out (or should I say re-sending) STD's to family members who didn't get theirs the first time....grrrr...not sure what happened there
Shopping for FI's wedding band
This weekend we are meeting with our first caterer, and I am going to get back to work on sewing the gowns for my girls. Oh, and I need to look for a metal comb for my veil that I finally finished last night. It is a fingertip mantilla veil with 4" beaded lace all the way around. Now I know why they charge so much for them. It took me two days to hand sew the lace.
I also want to wish everyone a happy weekend :-)
I have to get a DJ (any recommendations for the DC/Baltimore area would be appreciated!) and work on our guest list. Then, maybe I'll get working on some of my paper projects.
Six months from today, we'll be officially married!!!!
My bridal shower is tomorrow, yay! I won't get to see my fiance hardly at all this weekend because of his sporadic work schedule, so I'll probably do some DIY projects on my own.
finish making our invites. (and catching up on some "real" work I've been neglecting because of wedding planning!)
wow you all are busy. I was going to get my bra but it's not in yet, so nothing to do but sit here and read and have him take me out to dinner. Oh, I did order some shoes. hope they match. I bought some pearsl from someone I thougth they'd go with my dress. Dead ugly wrong. You say how can that be. It's like the yolk of an egg and an egg white. :)
Iam going shopping for an outfit for my bridal shower today!
This weekend we tried on my wedding ring that had been resized and I ordered my BM gifts!
-Finding out the numbers of tables & chairs available at our venue & the length of the tables [the venue is not usually booked for weddings or events]
-narrowing/finalizing our guest list [based on seating]
Taking a trip with my MOH to VT to stay at my FMIL's house - FH meeting us there

I've got to work on our napkin wraps, try to find wedding bands, and order the flower girl dresses.
What are you planning to check off your list this weekend?
