I agree!

Mid-way through planning my wedding, an older uncle of mine got married in a SURPRISE WEDDING ceremony.  It really made me reflect on the parts that are essential.

It was the emotions of everyone during the ceremony, the shared looks of happiness between bride and groom and the family members they love.

Sounds like a great wedding! My parents’ reception 30 years ago consisted of a soup buffet in my grandparents’ living room and people still say it was one of the best weddings they’ve ever been to 🙂 I’m a big believer in one of the great things about weddings these days is it really can be *anything* you want it to be, if you are kind and gracious and focus on what matters it will be beautiful.
