FI is a craft beer snob, and there have been a few times when I’ve scoured social media for rare beers. Then we go together to get it. Sometimes we even camp out for the beer, which is sometimes sold as a limited amount per person. I don’t drink much alcohol, but I do like collecting stuff. He loves adding to his collection!

I think I’m better at facilitating experiences than at buying official material gifts.

I gave him a replica of Aragorn’s sword from Lord of the Rings. He still carries it around the house sometimes… it’s pretty amazing.

The one he liked the most was 1000 rounds for his .308 and 500 empty milk cartons. He and a buddy spent two happy weekends putting lots of holes in milk cartons filled with water.

My husband loves looking at watches but I always make him leave the jewelry store empty handed. One day I surprosed him with a Citizen Eco-Drive watch. He wears it anywhere he can and loves when people compliment it. Lol he feels cool.

I surprised my FI with an awesome overseas trip for his 30th Birthday… He did not know we were going until the morning… I had everything planned… Spent 12 awesome days at an amazing 5 star resort…. Needles to say a few months later he proposed ha ha ha

tksjewelry:  sarahquinn:  Sure thing. Here it is hanging on our wall. It’s about 4 feet long [Hilt to tip] made of solid stainless steel. The handle is leather wrapped and it’s hung on a wooden plate that has the tree of life on it, I believe. Or it just might be just a tree. Tolkien fans would probably be able to correct me on it, I’ve only just began learning my tolkien lore.

sarahquinn:  DH has always expressed interest in wanting to do blown glass classes. I purchased a few for him for next year to try. I think he will be over the moon that he will be able to finally learn the Art some. Can’t wait to present it this Christmas!

His favorite gift I’ve ever given him is a framed Dragonball Z poster. And I say “favorite” because it’s the only thing he’s said is ‘really cool’ a significant time after receiving it, which means he really liked it.

I bought it at a yard sale for $1 (the frame is worth more than that!).

For his 17th birthday (I think.. lol), I got him a screen printed Rocky tee shirt that he has unfortunately severely outgrown. He LOVED that so much, he ripped off the shirt he was wearing and put it on right away.

And last year I managed to snag him a mini fridge for christmas on clearance for $30 after he mentioned once that he wanted one, and he was pretty excited to get that.

I made him a quilt and a hoodie that he helped me design. For things actually bought, when we were in a ldr I paid for a shuttle bus ticket for him to visit.

For our wedding I want to buy him a really nice bottle of whiskey, am expensive one he wouldn’t ever but himself. 🙂

for his 30th I bought him a black and silver cuff bracelet (looks better than it sounds) and had it engraved which he loved. Also for Christmas he’s getting a darth vader BBQ apron and a mac and cheese cookbook cause he doesn’t think mac n cheese is a real meal lol.
