I want to write on dark paper. I remember a year ago I bought some white ink marker but it ended up drying pretty transparent on dark paper. So I am looking for pens/markers that have white ink that do not dry transparent….as I have dark envelopes. I’ve seen uniball and gelirolls. Are these good….I haven’t used them for like 20 years now so I don’t remember if the white is good.

What about silver pens? They write well on dark paper…

The only white writing utensils of any kind I have seen are for sewing. They don’t make ink pens in white, according to the office supply stores and scrapbooking stores I have seen. You can use any brand of silver gel pen which looks elegant on dark paper (and the post office has no issues reading or sending them).

There’s some sort of white poster paint marker out there which I just used last week and it is amazing. It’s a sharpie, google it.

I’ve used something called a ZIG pen, but ZIG makes a lot of different types of pens and I can’t remember what the model was called! It may have had “chalk” in the title. Anyway, the white ink will dry matte on dark paper.
Otherwise, you can always use a gel pen of some sort, which will produce a slightly different effect–the ink will be a bit raised off the surface. But most of those brands will work.
Your best bet is to go to a general art supply store (if you’ve got one local) with a sample of your paper and ask them for their recommendation.
