Just for fun 🙂 Doesn’t have to be something you were seriously looking at or even something you’d ever want!
I once had the occassion to try on a 7.5ct, VVS2 G color round brilliant with over 3ct of sidestones set in platinum. It was like wearing a bowling ball. I wish I had a picture! (it was insured at somewhere around half a million replacement value, not sure if that included the setting!)

9 ct, J, cant remeber the clarity, selling for 400k, though I bet there was room for negotiation.

I tried on (and fell in love with) something over a carat the first time we looked at rings. Originally, it was $4500, on clearance for $750! We didn’t get it, sadly. I also tried on a setting (no stone) that was $9000!!!, but that’s because it was platinum. I think it would have held around a carat, but I’m not sure.

@bkrocks13: I tried on a yellow diamond that cost $100,000.
More recently I tried on a $52,000 solitaire at Tiffany’s.

I tried on a 3ct ring ONCE, and that was the moment when I realized that there was such a thing as too much bling lol.
I remember trying something on at Tiffany’s for either 60 or 80k, but I don’t remember what it was…

I tried on a 2 1/2 carat solitaire at Tiffanys that was something like $80K

I saw a 6 carat solitaire in the store and it was ugly! It just looked awkward.

My friend and I went to Tiffany and she got to try on a $200,000 ring because her fingers are really small. I couldn’t try it on because mine are fat.

I own a custom 3.78 ct Tiffany’s ring from a previous engagement, I have no idea what it is worth. Knowing my ex, prob more than my last house. Sitting there collecting dust in my moms safety deposit box.

@Miss Leopard: Sorry, I dont have any. I was engaged long before digital pics and I havent even set eyes on the ring since the early 90s. I now just consider it my back up life plan.

I tried on an heirloom ruby that was half a million $$$ before we actually got engaged. It was beautiful. And i thought “look, there’s a house on my finger!” Lol it reminded me of the ruby the monkey steals in Aladdin. Unfortunately I wasn’t allowed to take a picture.
