What's the difference between these two rings?

I’m having a hard time telling the difference, also. Looks like the profile on 2nd one may be a little higher? But that could just be the angle. If it’s higher, I’d go with #1, just because my high e-ring drives me nuts! Otherwise, they’re both beautiful, so you can’t really go wrong.

Looks like the first one, the prongs criss cross at the bottom of the basket, whereas the second one the prongs sort of meet in the middle then go out again. Also, the first one has a band of metal (I don’t know the correct term) that goes around the center stone under the girdle of the stone.

emstar168:  What you said.

But in essence, from the top, they would look pretty identical.

monthofsundays:  Haha, I got caught up in answering the title of your post and didn’t completely read what you wrote at first. As PPs said, from the top they would likely look exactly the same. Both are beautiful rings. If the side view is important to you, that’s where the differences would matter.

One overlaps, and the other forms an X with no overlap. Plus the baskets are different; one has a horizontal bar and the other does not.

monthofsundays:  I thought I had written this post because my MCo ring looks just like this!  I prefer the second one because the first one has that criss-cross look.  You can’t go wrong!  Which one do you like?

monthofsundays:  I love my ring!  Here it is.  MoissaniteCo eng689 in Palladium with a 1.25c Classic/unenhanced Moissanite in size 6.5.  Around $800.
