I realize that funnest isn’t really a word… but work with me for a sec.
What part of wedding planning did you enjoy the most?
Personally I enjoyed:
- Working on the seating chart (it was like a jigsaw puzzle)
- Visiting venues (we had a specific vision for the wedding, so it was a pretty fast process)
- Tasting the cakes (yum)
Actually, what a stereotype I am… these are usually tasks that brides fob off on their grooms so that they feel involved in the process haha!
Serious though – which part of the planning process did you enjoy the most?

Tasting the cake has been my favorite so far! That and working w/ our officiant, I just love her 🙂

This is a pretty obvious answer for me…the crafty stuff! Invites, save the dates, ring pillows, etc.

I would say the crafts as well. Family assembly lines for the save the dates were pretty awesome.

The part I loved the most was flowers. Our florist took us to her wholesaler and we strolled around picking things out. One of my FI’s degrees is in plant biology so he really enjoyed it too.
I’m sure cake-tasting would be up there if we were having cake, but we’re picking cheesecake from a place I’ve been going to for years.

I haven’t gotten to do any of the fun stuff yet! No tastings, I haven’t tried on my dress, I haven’t gotten to see the invitations. I’m getting so impatient for the good stuff!

The best part? Hmm…probably the decor & designing the event

Definitely "window shopping" online. Shoes, rings, dresses… right now for me it’s hairpieces. It’s frustrating though too – what to choose, what to choose!

Shopping for my dress. It was so much fun! I spent the weekend with my best friends, I tried on lots of beautiful and crazy dresses and drank lots of champange! FUN!

just how everything you see, hear and experience becomes new inspiration for your wedding! for example, at the grocery store, you see flowers and think, "hey, those could work for x," or at the mall you see a window display and think, "wow, i could replicate that for x" endless obsession!

I think it’s all the research whether it’s a venue, dress, etc. I like the "window shopping" analogy.

Crafts are my current favorite! Earlier on it was dress shopping and flowers.

Ok – so for me – as I design/plan events… the funniest part is:
Custom Cocktail creation & Tasting!!!
I enjoy watching my brides enjoy the drinks I create, and how they are giggling with joy that I could match their color scheme (lol), but I get to enjoy the libations too, which is always a fun, funny time! Especially if we need to tweak the drink a bit!
Then 2nd would be tasting desserts (cakes, candy for candy bar, etc)!
