@d'orsay - that's not embarrassing!! When J and I started dating, right after he left, we would talk for at LEAST 7 hours every day, for almost a week (until my parents came into town and I lost my freetime). It was summer, neither of us was busy, and we missed each other!
When my FI and I just started to date it was a LDR and we were on the phone all the time.. everyone told me i should connect the phone to my hand..( keep in mind blue tooth was not out yet) but our record was.. oh boy.. get ready..lol.. from 9pm- 8am... he was a Marine at that time and he was on Duty.. I had to keep him awake.. i have no idea what we talked about.. a whole lot of nothing.. Like some one said "when you are falling in love you do crazy stuff.." wow i would get so annoyed talking to him that long now..lol
well... FI and i met online and the very first time we talked on the phone, we stayed up all night until i had to go to school and him to work...7 hours! but our record is something like 13 hours. 2 yrs later and still in a LDR, we talk on average 2-3 hrs a night, with a few short calls during the day. to think neither of us likes talking on the phone really, other than to each other
Ummm...probably like 18 hours almost continuously. Besides the required familial meals and working we would spend almost the entire weekend on the phone. I don't think I really slept at all my senior year of high school! Haha!
What shocked me most was thinking what will I talk to this man about-- for the first time we would be on the phone. Would we have anything in common? Would there be weird silent moments?
Absolutely not, our first conversation lasted from 9pm until 12am. I was shocked afterwards. Truly we had a penty to talk about and now we are still blessed to have beautiful telephone conversations. He and I have stayed on the phone...4, 5, 6, 7,8 hours.... just talking and gettting to know one another.
He is the apple of my eye, the tele to my phone... The OMgoodness to my cell phone bill!!!! LOL jp... we got plans to accomodate one another! Smart thinkers (we are) lol
I would have to say very shy like probably around 6-8 hours on many occasions. I am very happy to read many of you chat for long periods of time :)
A little over 5 hours...I think, maybe longer.
We talk on the phone at least 2 hours a day, and text off and on all day.
We definitely talk a lot!
We usually just talked on MSN with our webcams, since he was in residence and shared a room with somebody. We'd only talk on the phone for short periods at a time, usually less than half an hour. We'd be on MSN for a good 6 hours a night, every night though.
One time FI and talked for 11 hours ... from the time we got up and all day ... He ALWAYS puts me to bed everynight, i usually go to bed so he talks to me till i fall asleep. When i just started my job, i had to get up at 4:30am and travel two hours to get to the training class .... he would wake up at 5 and talk to me for the trip there then go back to sleep for an hour and get up and go to work. He is the sweetest.
We just changed cell phone plans and got on the same one, so now it's not bad $$ wise.
I can't even tell you the amount of hours we spent on Yahoo chat.
I think our personal best was an hour. I know, such a short time. But we kind of ran out of things to say since we talk every night almost. He's not big on conversation, not even in person. He's more of random poke, grab the hand kind of guy.
