@b53191:  We have a very small registry (like, 12 items — we really don’t have room for a lot more stuff) and the most expensive thing on it is a Kitchen-Aid stand mixer for $349. I thought about adding a Dyson vacuum cleaner, but I haven’t. (Our cheapest item is $7.99.)

I have a full set of Liberty Tabletop flatware for $350.  I don’t *need* it, but we’re not registering for silver or china, and it would be a wonderful thing to have if someone wanted to give a more traditional gift.  Not necessarily expecting to get it, though.

If it was really just a wish list that didn’t mean anything, I’d probably register for a Rough Linen duvet cover, but I don’t want my relatives thinking that I need to sleep on a $400 duvet.

Kitchenaid Mixer $350, Calphalon (sp?) cookware set $350

Most prized to me?  My grandad gave me the music box I always loved when I visited him and my nana (who passed away a few years ago).  It turns out he gave it to her as a wedding gift when they got married 60 years ago, so it meant a lot to me that he gave it to me (he always said he would leave it to me in his will, so I did not expect to get it now).  He gave it to me during his toast, and it was the only time I cried all night.

I had to go look, but I think it’s our Calphalon 10 piece nonstick cookware set at $599.99. I am positive nobody will buy it, but we were having so much fun with the scanner at BB&B, lol!

And I’m not sure if this counts, but we have a Honeyfund and my mom paid $800 out of $1000 for our plane fare to our honeymoon in Jamaica. 🙂

ETA: Reading the post above me made me rethink my prized gift.  I hadn’t thought of it in this light, but I think it counts. Before FI’s grandmother died, she requested that her ring be given to FI to give to me. We are planning to put the diamond in a ring or a necklace specially made to be my “something old” on the day of. 🙂

@b53191:  We are going to Sandals in Negril! I am so excited! I want the wedding to be over so I can be on the beach with the butler serving me champagne. Ugh, come on November! LOL!

I’m such a cheapie! I have a $81 mattress pad that’s on sale now (originally $180) at Macys. I just don’t want to put people out with high priced items.

@b53191:  I feel the same way when I see people with $$$ on their registry.

We have two $500 items: Calphalon 8 pc cookware set and an 8 pc cutlery set. We don’t expect anyone to buy these for us… but remember, many places give you a 10%+ completion discount, so we will probably buy these for ourselves if no one else does! 🙂
