Them: “you knocked up yet?”

Me: “Grr… no, but I’ll make sure you are the first to know.”  (I wasn’t actually able to get the words out, but that’s what I meant to say).

What about people asking the cost for your hall/food/cake/dress, etc.? I find that VERY rude and would always find an excuse not to share that. The ONLY reason I would share the costs would be with a close engaged friend who was thinking of using the same vendor.

One of my bridesmaids is constantly asking me prices!  She even asked what we spent on bridesmaid gifts!  And it always starts with “If you don’t mind me asking…”  And I don’t know how to respond!  And it isn’t for info..she is already married!

Them: Can I come to your wedding?

Me: Thinking I hardly know you, but what I said was we’re still working on the guest list. 🙂

People: “Why are you waiting so long to get married?”

What I want to say: “We couldn’t afford the wedding we’re having if we got married any sooner”

What I actually say: “We’re in love and in no hurry.”

____________________________________________________________

People: “Aren’t you going to move to the suburbs after you get married?”

Me: “No, we like it in the city.”

People: “Ohhhh, why would you want your kids to grow up in a city?”

Me: “I think they’ll be fine.”

People: “Don’t you want a backyard?”

Me: “We’re fine without one.”

People: “So you would keep living in an apartment?”

Me: “That’s how it works.”

This conversation will go on and on and on like you wouldn’t believe.

My MIL asked me if I had something picked out to wear for the “wedding night.”
