Every meeting I have with a vendor I take my inspiration boards. For me it has helped with decisions - not to mention once I give a copy to a hired vendor I hope it helps them with remembering what my vision is, lol....
This might sound dumb but for me its like coloring and staying within the lines. Here is my vision and the look I am going for, please stay inside these lines
Thank you so much!!! haahaahaa
I've shown it to vendors. For me, it was more about putting my thoughts and ideas on paper and seeing what it looked like. I'm a visual person and I needed a way to see my vision (before my wedding) and a way to communicate my vision to FI, my parents, vendors, etc.
I think it's just a way to visualize your wedding elements coming together, or to make sure your color choices work with each other. I've made tons of wedding decisions by this point, but it's still hard for me to visualize the actual event. But it's a good question -- when I showed an inspiration board that I liked to my fiance, he paused and then said, "Wait, what am I looking at?" HAHA!

Hi ladies! I am just curious - what do people use inspiration boards for? Is it just a way to visually bring together all the elements & colors you like? As in, you just put it together to see if your ideas work, and gaze at it lovingly thereafter? (Seems like a good enough plan to me!) Do people use them for anything else? Showing to vendors or something? I totally get that it is fun to put together, and helps to bring a vision together... but is there a point beyond that?
