I love Christmas, mainly because I have fond memories of decorating the tree when I was little. Well, we had tabletop tree for a few years because I couldn’t justify spending $200+ on something that’s only out for a few weeks. Well last year I was kind of depressed about it, just down in general. I came home from work one day and he bought us a Christmas tree! I was so surprised and happy.

- Wedding: August 2009 - St. Thomas of Villanova Church & the F.U.E.L. House
Right now, with our wedding approaching SUPER fast, my mister is helping cross of all sorts of crazy last-minute stuff…because his goal is that I’m experiencing zero (or at least very little) stress come Monday. And I couldn’t be happier to have such a caring, willing helper — let alone be lucky enough to marry such a sweet person!

Nothing can surpass the proposal!!!!!! =) It was flawless and made me so happy … and now I have a gorgeous ring. So asking me to marry him is the best thing so far!

awww cute. Mine just encouraged me to buy a plane ticket to Savannah this weekend. this was on monday. i adamantly said no, Thursday-Sunday was over $500 and he said he didn’t care. But, I flexed my schedule like a maniac at work and am now flying out tomorrow morning (!!!) and cmoing home Monday night for only $250. I keep getting sweet (and saucy) text message about how psyched he is to see me!
First time since the wedding..it’s been 8 looong weeks!

The sweetest thing my beau ever did was when he flew to China (where I live) and declared his love for me, haha. We’ve been good friends for 8 years, but haven’t lived near each other for a while now. He emailed the first week of June to say he’d bought tickets to come see me two weeks later. A week into his trip, he sat me down and told me he’d had feelings for me for close to 4 years, but knew the timing was never right. And that he knew the timing still wasn’t quite right, but he knew he had to come and tell me now, that he couldn’t keep living without at least letting me know.
I had no idea any of it was coming, but as soon as I let myself consider him, after so many years of seeing him as just a friend, I knew he was exactly right. I fell hard and fast after that, and we’ve been in love ever since! 🙂

My Fi does a lot of little sweet things, but the one that takes the cake is when I missed my flight after a weekend in NJ visiting him (I live in VA). I was upset, because I didnt want to have to miss work on Monday ( I never call in). So when i called him and said I missed my flight, he told me he was turning around and picking me back up so he can DRIVE me home!!! thats when I knew he loved me!!

His birthday happens to be the same day that my mom died. So this past December, on his birthday, he had a card and flowers waiting for me when I got home from work.

I got home from a weekend out of town and he had every candle in the house lit and spelled out LOVE on the fireplace with tea lights, created an online photo album of us and played love songs on pandora on the background. I walked in and he started sobbing. Love him.
Another time I was at work on a Friday till 8, stressing over a project. I came home to homemade chocolate coverd strawberries!
He eats leftovers and doesn’t mind it at all.
He asks me if he can rub my back almost every night.
I’ve got a good one!

My FI just returned from a two-week trek through Siberia. While on his hike, he wrote me a series of love letters and placed a wild flower that he collected on his hike into each envelope. I’ve only been allowed to read four letters thus far, but there are about six more coming. One is labelled “To my wife,” so I have to wait a couple months for that one; another is labelled “To the mother of my child,” which I’m going to have to wait awhile for! I love the anticipation, though, and melt with the sentiment.

I love the stories…i want to hear more! We all have sweet guys!!

FI does some pretty awesome things for me but gutting our house and building it for us takes the cake. He takes note of everything I want and delivers! Our house was literally built from love….and a whole lotta cash!
