Ok hive so I'm going Rustic-EcoFriendly-Winter-Ranch wedding, not really a "theme" but that's what I have in mind.

    What to share yours?

The word that keeps leaping to mind is JOY!

I want the music to be joyful at Mass, I want the flowers to be colorful and rich, I want the readings and the words that surround us to be full of joy - just joy!!!

Aesthetically speaking I am going for jewel-tones, warm and 'glowy' for the church and reception, and a classic look overall.  Nothing too vintage or too contemporary.

and most importantly - JOYFUL! What's the theme of your wedding? : wedding theme Icon Biggrin

"Rustic" as well.  We're having a fall wedding at an Inn and restored farmhouse, so we just want everything to be keeping in tone with our venue!

Originally it was a Falling Petals theme but eventually morphed into an "Us" theme where a little bit of who we are is incorporated in the decor.

I am using Gerber Daisies and pink and green as my flowers and colors so there is an ongoing theme with them.  I am also using ribbon a lot in the wedding because my Dad's business sells it, so it was easy to get and special to me.  My fiance is from the Philly area and I'm from the NY area so we actually have been calling the Wedding "NY Falls in Love with Philly".  Our tables are named after our favorite places in NY and Philly, our favors are black and white cookies and choc covered pretzels (NY cookie and Philly cookie), and our cupcake tower will be topped with a cake that has the NY and Philly skyline on it with an apple and pretzel on top in honor of NY and Philly.

    Hola Amiga!

It's all about "Think Pink".  I'm a bride against breast cancer.  We are honoring all the survivors, in our family, of this horrible disease.

oooh. i just figured out what to call mine - formal spring garden party. our colors are dark pink, light pink and pale yellow and the wedding is in may. if only i could get all the guests to wear those big hats like they wear in england! it would be sooo four weddings and a funeral (without those big puff sleeves and hugh grant always being late for the ceremony!)

Not really a theme but it's a late summer-vintage-family affair. Our colors are colors of the sunset-pinks, yellows, and oranges.

Still working on it, but I would say like formal garden party with lots of gerbera daisies.  Colors are bright pink, brown, and grass green.  We're getting married in a town park, and the reception is at a country club.

I am having an outdoor wedding & my color is white with green accents. Our theme is an Italian theme (we have been to Italy & FI is Italian too.) So, we will have bruchetta & cheese boards as appitizers, then serving salad & two Italian pasta dishes. All the tables will be named after landmarks that we went to in Italy, & we are using wine corks to hold our escort cards & all our paper items (invitations, programs, escort cards, etc) will have our Olive branch on them; tying in the Italian theme :)

We are getting married in December in a castle style manor and since I am from Germany and my fiance's family is from Norway we are going with a European Christmas Market type feel.

It was originally a tiffany blue but goodness that is a hard color to match so when I did dress shopping last weekend we got Navy blue and light yellow dresses and isnce it is in texas we decided to go with a country texas spring theme.  If that makes sense.  ia ms til trying to figure out how to make that work out. I wouldn't say that we have a "theme" per se, but we're using black & white & shades of pink as our colors, and may have a tagline of "better together" for things for our wedding.  We're doing a candy bar, and some other things that we both love to reflect our personalities.

Nautical Preppy.  Navy blue and white with yellow accents.  Navy tablecloths, white napkins, blue hudreangea centerpieces, yellow ranunculus with blue hydrangea in BM bouqs, some nautical flag decor here and there, navy and white striped and navy and white polka dotted ribbon accents. I have a friend who was a wedding planner--she told me to pick 4 words as the "theme" (of course disney is an underlying theme of the event but not the wedding)

    fun--simple---relaxed--classic

    Couldn't be more "us"

We are going for classic. A tiny, old, beautiful chapel; the attendants all in black; me in white lace; And our colors will be blue, silver, white and black.

The venue is an old orange packing plant from the late 1800s.

It's sort of a vintage glam and rustic-aviary theme. My colors are black, cream and olive green.

My theme is French country with a touch of Mexico (for my FMIL). :)

So funny, but it really works. We're being married in an old Spanish Church, a precursor to the mission in Santa Barbara. My dress has Spanish Lace at the bottom. Then we go to a Victorian cottage with shabby chic decor and French food. We will have a salsa band there.

    Mission accomplished!

we are former "club kids" and wanted to showcase our wonderful city and the beautiful urban environment we grew up in. we are also a multi-cultural couple with a deep love of travel and exploration. together, we are all sorts of contradictions. we will be having our ceremony in a traditional grandiose catholic church (which we don't have to worry about decor because it is gorgeous!), and our reception in a two story timber loft. the top floor has 45 ft' floor to ceiling windows and a rooftop deck with massive views of our beautiful skyline. our main colors are our faves purple (mine) and green (his) with splashes of turquoise, fushia and black thrown in. we will have our cocktail hour (and a half:-) on the top floor, dinner on the bottom and back to the top for more cocktails and all night dancing.

i am not going to focus too much on the dinner area because we are only going to be there 1.5-2 hrs max. the top floor is going to have white lounge furniture and i am going to throw in splashes of our colors via pillows, vases, flowers and candles. we are going to have lighting effects that will make the room different shades of blue, purple and pink. we are having a photobooth and a fauxtobooth (these are nods to my mother who LOVES pictures!). since our reception will run 11 hours, we are going to have tons of entertainment. 1. because it's a way to include our different cultural elements. 2. because we love to celebrate! we will have chinese lion dancers, a Michael Jackson impersonator (i heart MJ!) and maybe flamenco dancers. for the cocktail hour, we are going to have a string trio and then a dj for the main dancing. we love live music, but our venue won't allow for more than a 3 person band and we didn't feel that would be sufficient for 200 people.

at midnight, we will have white castle cheeseburgers delivered and also lechon (common to both of our very different cultures!) and some other traditional food from FI's culture. this should allow the guests the necessary element to soak up all the alcohol they will have consumed by then! not to mention give them more fuel to keep partying. it is traditional for my FI's family to toast with vodka and have vodka bottles on the tables, so we are definitley doing that. we are also going to have a vodka luge.

wow. i think i just wrote a book.
