My immediate thought from reading the title of the thread: If the groom does not show up.

Obviously, anything with injury or health problems is on there too. But related to the wedding, the absolute worst thing, for me, would be if the groom didn’t show. Anything else bad (wedding-related) that happens doesn’t matter so long as you get married!

Laur12:  I haven’t seen the show on TLC, but will keep my eyes peeled for it!

Umm the worst thing that could happen is if a certain ‘family member’ (by marriage) flies off the handle.  This particular person holds a lot of unfounded resentment against my parents, siblings and me.  I know you said to keep it light hearted, but this is an actual concern of mine! Lol!

Getting my period (which is very likely)…I have really heavy periods, like, reeeeally heavy.

FFIL getting belligerently drunk. Very likely.

FSIL’s 6 year old being out of control, which is very likely, and causing damages to the venue.

I’m bracing myself for all of these things but other than that, I think we’re good!

Laur12:  My DH spilled red wine on the back of my dress at the wedding – it wasn’t so bad! One of the wait staff whacked some soda water on that bad boy and I was back on the d-floor a few minutes later, haha. (Wear satin – makes fluids run off more rather than seep in!)

Laur12:  Fingers crossed that both of our problem-guests either stay at home or behave! Haha

I have two very real fears. The first is that my future brother-in-law shows up drunk and makes a horrible scene (he is not part of our lives, nor is he invited to the wedding, but that may not stop him). I’m also terrified that an old lover of mine is going to object during the ceremony and make some kind of delusional romantic profession expecting me to run away with him. Eek!
