I’m fairly new to this site, been married for a while but just decided to remake my wedding set.
I’ve been reading a bit about the ring enhancers some of you are getting. I had never heard of them before finding this site.
Are they used instead of wedding bands? What’s the go?
Thanks guys 🙂

*Typically* they are used as a wedding band replacement; however, I used my enhancer for my solitaire and then a wedding band because I wanted more coverage AND bling.

I always thought enhancers were meant for soliatares..gives a little something more around the solid band?

@Rubbs: Yes enhancers or jackets go around solitaires. What many of these ladies have is wraps that are the wedding band.

@dewingedpixie: ah, ok. So there are wraps and enhancers!
Can someone post some pictures of wraps and enhancers so I can see the difference?

@NocturnalNymph: I have an enhancer wrap for my ring which serves as my wedding band
It is 2 bands connected at the bottom and my Engagement Ring slips in the middle of it
and this is it all together as a set

Here’s my solitaire with it’s wrap. It doesn’t fit yet with the wrap, but when I have them soldered together it will.

They are technically referred to as wraps or guards (personally I would call them “wraps” since “guards” sounds like something more utilitarian, protective and not jewelry), enhancers are something else (more related to illusion settings).
I actually don’t know anyone in person who wears one (just on the bee) and to me (sorry don’t kill me) they seem very ’80s… I’m not sure if they wore wraps or guards in the ’80s but the rings looked like the way the enhancers+rings look that I’ve seen.
What does make sense to me is that they’re used instead of a wedding band, as the person is technically wearing 2 rings (though it looks like 3 or maybe 1 mega-ring), so another seems like a lot to put on one finger, even if it is the understated precious metal traditional wedding band.

@Kimberley25: I LOVE that enhancer. I’ve been eyeing it for a while. Do you have any more pics/angles you could post? I’d love to see more
