I’ve been trying for a while to lose some weight. I was already 5’6 and 127 pounds, so i wasnt looking to lose anything crazy. Just wanted to be able to see my muscle definition more. I started drinking a green smoothie every morning and boy has it made a difference! 1 apple, 1 bag spinach, small knob ginger, 2 lemons, enough cold brew jasmine green tea to cover, 2 walnuts(the fats prevent it from getting too foamy) all blended in the vitamix. I drink an entire pitcher every day.
Not only have I lost 4 pounds since I started this, My skin is absolutely glowing!
so ladies, What’s your beauty secret?

@craftylish: Awesome thanks for sharing!
My skin saw major improvements with simply drinking a TON more water (which has helped with appetite also) and coconut oil 🙂

I’m not sure if it’s a beauty secret… lol
but I’ve been doing Shakeology for about 3 months. I have it for breakfast every day. And I’ve noticed my skin has been a lot better (and it was never BAD to begin with).
I also just do the whole washing your face thing and put some lotion on before I go to bed 🙂
I also agree with @ValerieBee03: when you drink more water, you definitely notice a difference in how you fee. Unfortunately, I can’t use coconut oil because I’m allergic to coconuts! What the heck?! lol
but my future mother-in-law uses is as lotion and loves it!

@cmeeks: Oh no! I loooove coconut oil and I use it on everything and cook with it! That would suck

@ValerieBee03: lol, it’s not too bad. I guess it’s because I’ve never been able to use it, that I don’t know what I’m missing! haha. but I just use olive oil. That’s healthy too! 🙂

@craftylish: I did green smoothies for a while and then fell off the wagon, I should really start again because they are wonderful!

@ValerieBee03: do you use the coconut oil topically or internally? Do tell.
I think I’ll try some after I sauna tonight. The idea of smelling like a giant macaroon sounds wonderful!

@craftylish: I cook with it like any other oil. But I also,
1. Use it on my hair like a hair mask. Just pour it on and put it in a shower cap for 45 mins to an hour. Then shampoo.
2. I put about a cup in a hot bath and soak in it 🙂 makes my skin sooo smooth and evens my skin tone (super important since I’m so pale lol)
3. I “whip it” with a mixer when it’s in it’s solid state, add some drops of vitamin E oil and have an AWESOME body lotion/moisturizer.
4. I melt it and put it straight on my face, lips, and eye lashes before bed. Clears up my skin and helps my eyelashes grow 🙂
