I’m turning 27 (eek!) and I think I need adult bedding lol.
As you can see, my current bedding is bright (I’m drawn to bold colors- if I wasn’t living in an apartment where I couldn’t paint – I’m sure the walls would look like Miami threw up on them).
In the winter I have flannel sheets and a flannel duvet cover that goes on top of it.
I think I want white bedding now – I love how it looks – so clean!
For any bees that have white bedding – is it a pain in the ass to keep nice and white? Would you recommend it? FI doesn’t care as long as it’s comfy.
ETA- I can’t believe I really posted about this lol. But it’s 3am and I’m curious. If you actually respond to this, I love you lol.

We have 7 (!!) different sets of sheets that I change religiously because I’m a bedding freak. We like lightweight bedding so we just use an undersheet, a bottom sheet and a duvet, and have a bed cover and a top blanket, as well as pillows. I don’t think white sheets are hard to care for as long as you wash them with whites and bleach them occasionally, and keep things like greasy food away from your bed.

This is the bedding set we have, with a red blanket and porcelin blue sheets 🙂

@sunkissed19: I decided to do beachy cottage in our bedroom. 1) Because my horrible, abusive ex loved the color red and insisted on red in the bedroom. So I wanted to get as FAR AWAY from red as I could. And 2) Because I love cottages and they make me feel peaceful.
So I have a nice soft (I dunno?) dusty blue? (I guess. lol)/charcoal gray/a lighter sagey green and a few hints of sunny yellow. I also mix stripes and patterns. My curtains are blue and white vertical striped with blue, yellow and white vertical striped valances. My bedding is either charcoal gray or lighter sagey green sheets (both damask stripe) and a solid color dusty blue bedspread with monochromatic embroidery. When it’s freezing cold in winter I also have a light sagey green/light blue/white striped comforter. I have a lighter sagey green throw as well. And I have a charcoal grey on white patterned duvet cover that I hung on the wall behind my bed (chunky, wooden, braided? twisted? edge bedframe in a medium stain) I switch out the shams from that duvet and the ones that match the comforter when I feel like it. I also have one huge, long decorative pillow to throw in the middle of the bed, which is like a mostly medium blue, but with accents of white/yellow/sagey green and paisley. Finally I have 2 in., dark stain, wooden blinds, which I LOVE.
I was so sure I had taken a pic when I got done decorating, but I can’t find one. And now that I think about it I bet it was on my last cell and that won’t even turn on anymore. Can’t take one now, FI is sleeping in the bed, lol. Maybe I’ll remember tomorrow…
I’m afraid of white bedding…well I’m afraid of it for about a week, every month…

We have gray sheets(different sets but I love the Hotel Collection sheets the best) and a mostly white/gray duvet cover from Crate & Barrel and green accent pillows/extra pillows. I love our bed and think it looks gorgeous! I would totally do white sheets but apparently I don’t wash all my eye make-up off because my pillows sometimes gets smudges. :/
My sister loves white sheets though and says as long as you wash them in hot water once a week they stay white.

BTW it is very grown up to have matching/nice bedding. haha. It was a huge step for FI to convert from a fitted sheet on a mattress with a flat sheet, one pillow and a comforter that was a hand me down to a mattress protector, mattress pad, fitted sheet, flat sheet, down free(please don’t buy down) duvet, duvet cover with six pillows!

This is mine, but I alternate the actual sheets – sometimes I have a chocolate brown, a dark purple, or the ones that match the set.

I love Calvin Klein collection. I swap between these two for winter and summer.

Here it is, I really want to re-decorate the master bedroom, but every time I get the money, I think of something else I’d rather spend it on. LOL. It’s not all that bad.

we aren’t exactly the most “bright” people. Our bedroom is very …. gothic? i don’t know how else to describe it. It has cream colored walls and carpet but everything else is pretty dark. We swap out between these three sets…
yes… we have skulls on our bedding lol well on one set anyway. We are like teenage boys I guess.

We just got a King bed, so I got to buy grown up bedding also! This is what I picked and it looks so expensive and the fabric is so soft. It’s not exactly white, but it’s neutral and classy in my opinion. It was a great buy!

Thanks for all of the responses! All of your beds look so comfy!
@jadlnc: haha I knowwww I’m concerned about that one week a month too. I’ve never had a problem – but I’m sure that the second I change to white bedding it’ll happen.
@baletrina: Good point about the makeup! I try to take mine off every night, but it doesn’t always happen.
@futuremrsgo: I can’t wait to buy a king! Congrats on your purchase. Also – LOVE the print on your bedding!
