@drA:  Mine is food in general. I have no problem working out hard, but I have little to no willpower for all things yummy. It will be my continued downfall unless I smarten the hell up soon.

I love food, and I can eat. I impress people with how quickly I can make a plate of ribs disappear.

I’m with MrsPanda… i love fooooooood!!! lol But, i recently decided i need to put my health first. I’m currently on Ideal Protein to get to my healthy weight. After I get there, I’ll phase out of weight loss, and into maintenance. I plan on keeping a healthy lifestyle, while having a cheat meal, or day, every once in a while. That way i know i dont have to deny myself my favorite foods for the rest of my life, just have them in moderation.

Being healthy/losing weight is 100% mental. If you can make up your mind that youre doing it, and nothing will get in your way, it’s the easiest thing in the world!!

I can easily turn down any kind of food, I’m not that tempted if I know I need to lose a few.  However, what is really, really, really hard for me to cut back on:

actually getting off my butt and getting my body moving is the biggest struggle for me. i hate it. i hate sweating, i hate getting tired and worn out. i hate my muscles hurting. it is such a slow process losing weight. and then a close second is hunger. im hungry all the time. all. the. time. i could eat 10 lbs of broccoli and be hungry again before i could put my plate away. i have been eating fruits or veggies for snacks between meals it does very little. the only thing that makes me feel full is bread or potatoes. even steak or chicken begins to taste awful to me once ive eaten several bites. but i could live my entire life on potatoes and bread.

@mu_t:  I could care less for bread, pasta, or anything salty. If I could, I would eat brownies three times a day for every single meal…and then follow up with a brownie for dessert.

I feel you about how easy it is to gain weight (it can happen in a matter of a single bad day or two) and yet you can be good for WEEKS and not lose a damn pound.

@mu_t:  They actually dont do Ideal Protein in Canada… real sad. But theres a site, 3fatchicks.com, and it gives all of the info on the plan. The original plan supplies you with foods to eat, but there are brands of protein bars and shakes you can find in your grocery store to replace those. That’s what i’m doing. I have an email ive been forwarding to friends & family who want to try it with the details of the phases from Ideal Protein, as well as my tips & tricks on doing it with alternative products. I’ve been on plan for almost 14 weeks, and i’ve lost 48lbs! Its incredible. and It has me SOOO motivated to stay healthy for the rest of my life!!

If you, or anyone else, wants my email with the info for doing the plan, give me your email addresses and i’ll forward it to you!! I’d love to help!

My biggest struggle on my weight loss journey has been my booze intake.

I am on WW, which has been a great program for me because it allows me to live my normal life and make small changes. However, my biggest issue has been booze. I am a beer girl, and on WW this can easily become an issue, add that with the fact that I have a high tolerence, it can totally backfire.

Going out and having drinks is still very much a part of my life and something I enjoy doing. Usually there is a once a week happy hour with friends/coworkers/husband, then we go out once on the weekend, then the occasional Sunday Funday (where mimosas become my enemy! Agghhh the orange juice!!)

When you add up all that booze, I bust through my weekly points very easily. In order to loose weight I have to stick with light beer (BOO!) and usually skip the Sunday Funday. 🙁 This is SO hard during the summer & fall because we have a pool and all I want to do is sunbathe with a margarita, and in the fall there is college football Saturdays and pro Sundays – again SOOO hard to not have a beer.

Not having a thyroid.  I had my thyroid removed in December and it’s been ridiculous trying to lose weight ever since.
