What's your biggest wedding style regret?

I honestly can’t think of any regrets… I would probably have preferred to have somebody straighten out my train/veil once I got to the groom (I think everyone was too excited to remember), but it’s such a miniscule detail. In the grand scheme of things I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!

Also, one good decision I made was not to obsess over a slightly crooked false eyelash (I was DIYing my makeup) – it would have taken me forever to take the makeup off and on again, and I would have felt super frustrated in the process. I just gave it an extra curl, made sure the eyeliner was even, and looking at pictures now I can’t even tell which eye it was.

i would like to go back and tighten my husbands tie and straighten his and the groomsmens pocket squares (these things bug him too). And my hair flower that I put it at night after veil should have been placed lower down it looks a little silly. I was just so happy and excited it was hard for me to stop on the day and fix these things!

but overall I was very very happy with our style.

Here is an example of the hair flower (it’s not THAT bad):

I wish my husband’s pants were tighter.  He spent a lot of money on his suit and they were pretty baggy.

I wish I had touched up my lipstick throughout the day.

I can honestly say that I don’t think I have any.

Less formal dress and getting the train cut off – no regrets!

No veil – no regrets!

Simple jewelry – just earring studs – no regrets!

Comfy undies and bra – no regrets!

Cheap shoes – $14.50 – no regrets!

DIY makeup – no regrets!

That’s pretty much everything. I think it’s also good to go into things and make a decision and stick to it. I see so many women on here talking about dress regret because they kept looking at dresses after they bough – just stop looking! You already picked a dress! Move on to other decisions.

emitchell456:  I’d have dedicated more time to finding a longline bra that didn’t bunch & didn’t show over my neckline. I have a really tricky size to fit and even though I put a lot of time and money into trying different styles, none of them worked with the dress. I let the alterations person convince me that I’d be fine braless when she finished the alterations & I feel like in photos my boobs are flopping down and it makes me look more chubby than I am. It also makes it look like I’m slouching because my chest is drooping.

I wish that I had asked someone to let me know if my hair was falling out in the back.  I have long thick hair and I knew the updo would “fall” throughout the day, but it didn’t cross my mind to check.  I recently got my pro pics back and in our first dance photos you can see a few curls that came loose in the back.  A few extra bobby pins would have fixed it.

Oh well!

I just really wish I had a different dress. To add some “flare” I had a bow made for the back because I really REALLY wanted a bow on my dress.

Not sure what I was thinking. The dress was made without a bow for a reason.

My advice, don’t go crazy on your own alterations because after that, there’s no going back.

Probably would have worn lower heels. My feet were killing me  before the reception even began! Also my curls dropped really badly! A better hairspray would have come in handy!

Wish I’d gotten the bodice of my dress slightly better fitted… but overall everything turned out better than I expected 🙂

I loved my bridesmaids dresses…they were really nice & really pretty. I loved it so much that i even bought one in Ivory to change into at the reception for the last 2 hours. But it was soooooo uncomfortable for my sister & me. We both have big boons & couldn’t keep our dresses up. The other girls with flatter chests didn’t have any problems? I just wish i wouldve known this, somehow. My poor sister struggled ALL DAY with hers. But if I would have started looking earlier, I think I could’ve found something a little more funky…more my style. But that’s all. Everything else was perfect!

My wedding is this Saturday and I wish I let the girls wear flat shoes instead of heels, but the floor length dresses were made for the height of their heels. I’ve told them to pack flats for the reception but their dresses will drag on the floor

I wish I’d worn more blush and lipstick. I don’t have the pro pics yet but I seemed like I was wearing less makeup than usual in my guest pictures.

I regret not putting my hair up after the ceremony. My husband dipped me at the end of our first dance and a lock of hair swung up over my mouth!
