No worries I’m 1:17 I’ve always heard it was 1:25. I have my 2 sisters, fsil & best friend. There’s no cutting it down. My fsil is having 10bm & about 130 guest! That’s insane to me! But whatever makes you happy!

Well I had to contemplate that one. I never heard of a BM to guests ratio. Is there really such a thing and why would it be important?

I’ve never heard of this! I have two bridesmaids and 100 guests so I guess I am unintentionally correct haha. I don’t think it really matters.

I had 160 guests and 9 BM.. who cares what etiquette says.. do what you want! 🙂 It didn’t look like too many people standing up with us, the pictures turned out great with a such a large group (9 girls & 9 guys), I was happy we had such a large group!

I had never heard this either. But I’m having 6 bridesmaids and 325 guests so it comes out to around 54, pretty close! I don’t think it’s a big deal though

Unless you have something like 12 bridesmaids and 40 guests, I don’t really think the “bridesmaid to guest” ratio means anything. I have 10 bridesmaids and a little over 200 guests.

I think you should pick the number of Bms you want. We had 250 guests, and I had 4 bridesmaids.

I’ve heard of this before, but frankly I don’t really care (and I can’t imagine anyone in your wedding party or guests caring either).  As long as you don’t have a really small wedding with half your guest list in the wedding party, people don’t really notice anyways.  There’s way more things to consider when picking who will be your BM’s and how many you will have than just your guest count.  I’m at 1:19, and I’ve been in wedding parties that have been above and below that ratio and it’s always been completely fine.

I have never heard of this before.  I have 4 BM’s and 80 guests.  I guess I could see it being awkward if half of the guest list is the wedding party, but it really depends on the wedding I suppose.  I just picked the people I wanted at my side at the wedding, which happened to be 4 total.

Three bridesmaids and probably around 75-100 guests.

Just pick the number you want.  6 is a decent amount but I wouldn’t go that much higher.  The only time it could look awkward is if you have 10+ BM and like 30-50 guests.

    I have 5 BM and I’m guessing 80 guests (115 guest list)

If that’s the case,  I get half of a bridesmaid,  lol. I’m having 4 including my MOH, and we will probably only have 25-35 guests tops.  But it’s a destination wedding.
