Until last week, my excuse was that the Wii wasn't set up (so I couldn't do Wii Fit or Wii Boxing).
Now that it is, I think I have a pretty good one:
It's in our basement, which has a 7' dropped ceiling. When I do the Wii fit exercises, I whack my hands on the ceiling. Lame excuse, yeah, but it's been working all week.
I'm so lazy. Are you better than me, or do you have your own lame excuses?
"I'll do it later" oops, now it's bedtime. I think I should do it like Pengy said " do it before your brain has a chance to realize what's happening: :)
My excuse lately.... too many wedding things to do at night. It's lame, and I should totally be working out more. I did work out yesterday though, and had dance practice tonight and Tuesday so I guess I've had physical activity 3 days in a row now! That's like a record for me lately.
"I don't have time!"
It's a pretty good excuse becuase we only have one week to go and I have to move out of my apartment by Tuesday!
Mrs. Yorkie was so sweet to send me the 30-day Shred vid, which I did only once. It's only 20 minutes long, but I almost passed out after I did it and I haven't been brave enough to try again.
*hangs head in shame*
P.S. YAY! I'm a Busy Bee!
Finding the time is the toughest for me. I need to get up EARLY to get in a workout before work -- and if I don't, nine times out of ten I don't go in the evening. So, Mr. Bruschetta and I try to inspire each other to get up.
Also, if I skip the gym, I go for a 45-minute walk outside during lunch -- something's better than nothing!
Ummm.... I dont have money to invest in a gym.
and that im lazy.... but I know, I have to do it.
Oh I am fabulous at finding reasons not to work out... my current one is that we are/were moving and so I had to pack up all my workout DVDs. Of course when they were sitting out in my living room for the months before that I had to come up with different excuses.
It's way too hot!!! We don't have air conditioning and I would pass out if I started working out in my sauna, oops, I mean living room! ;)
I just found some classes at a rec center that are reasonably priced and don't require a membership, so I'm going to do that for the summer. I haven't worked out since a week before the wedding! Yikes.
Ha ha. Love this. Currently, I am still continuing my fat and happy honeymoon phase. As of Tuesday it will be 30 days since my last workout. I told myslef I'll hit the gym then.
It probably doesnt help that my dress is a liiiitle bit loose as it is (even though i ordered it down a size).
i keep telling myself i can just maintain for the wedding, but must lose for the honeymoon (next year).
I worked out 5 days a week before we got married in December, but since I moved in with him, I canceled my gym membership because it was too far away. I hate starting at a new gym, so I keep putting it off. I definetly got my "newlywed nine."
My excuse is that it's SO COLD at night here!!! BRRR!!!
we try to go running after work, but it's pitch-black at 6pm - not very encouraging.
Sometimes it's so cold, my muscles tense up. Then there might be an "injury" and we'll have to skip the run... ;)
We're doing pretty good about keeping on track with the marathon training program, but sometimes all we want to do is watch TV and eat pizza. and then some icecream. It feels so good.
I am too tired. I have to make dinner. All my socks are dirty. I'm on my period. There's always tomorrow. But my favorite show is on! I have to work on my invitations. I haven't shaved my legs in a while and I'll be too hot if I can't wear my shorts. I have to study.

I just picked up the 30 Days to Shred DVD earlier this week. Jillian is kicking my butt and I deserve it with all the excuses I have been making the last few months.
"I'm tired"
I try to get up early and work out, but I just am not a morning workout person and instead I take a nap on the couch :D
I'm too worn out to do it at night though!
My excuse is the " no time, too much wedding stuff to do "... " oh bummer it's too late now i work in the morning, lets skip wii fit and go to bed "
Poor, no time, exhausted from work, "but its <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic">hot out...", asthma, I'm too fat (haha the irony), I don't like my sneakers.....

I have been getting my a$$ in gear and my bootcamp wont let me have an excuse, I cant waste my money if I don't go! it kicks my butt and I LOVE it!
These are the stairs I have to run up and down today....I am dreading it! (it doesnt look as steep in the picture but its HUGE hill!)

My excuse last night: Michael Jackson passed away (RIP) and hubby needed emotional support HAHAHA (he really did though..right)
Tonight...I'm not sure but I'll think of something by 5:30 =)
We just moved a couple months ago, and my treadmill is still in pieces on the floor. Everytime I go to run outside, what do you know it's raining! haha.
Oh and my other one is that I'm going to start dieting and working out two months before the wedding (originally it was three, but it has been changed lol). No point in doing it too far out, because even if I lose there is too much time to gain it back before the wedding! Good ones right?
Well, I bought new sneakers and a sports bra that fits, so there are now fewer excuses.... but the beer! Life's rough. Ha.
I don't have any workout gear that fits. I need new tennis shoes. I don't have money for a gym membership. :)
Mine usually are:
- it's too hot (it's FL! it really is!) or "i'll get mosquito bites!"
- i'm too tired when i get off of work late at night
- i need to shave my legs (i cannot wear shorts and work out without nice smooth legs, of course!)

I'm on my period ... or pmsing ... haha but that obviously doesn't fly the entire month. So now I'm sucking it up and working out.
I have a big test in 2 months and the wedding is in less than 3? Does that count? I keep telling myself it does..but then last night I was chatting on BeeTV instead of studying...oops. So yeah, not so much on the working out. bad kara...:(
"It's too hot!"
Which IT IS?! I mean come on, who needs to be out RUNNING in 90 + degree weather with uber humidity! Only CRAZY people.
Back pain! I tried getting back into the 30 Day Shred too quickly after taking a break for a couple weeks around the wedding, and I pulled the muscles to either side of my spine. I just can't get them back to normal.
I was sick for 3 months and ended up with pneumonia and I couldn't go back to how I was working out and then my little one is asthmatic and was getting sick and I had to be with her.
It's too hot! I feel suffocated with the humidity and heat.
Also, I work 6 days a week. Kind of tired by the end of the day and I can't wake up at 5am to go running before work...
Unfortunately my excuse now is very valid, I threw out my back and I was advised not to work out for at least a week. Good thing the meds I'm on are suppressing my appetitie! :eye roll:
What ISN'T my excuse these days?! I'm tired, I'm busy, my dog is lonely I should go straight home.. yeah it's getting pathetic.
I'm too hungry to exercise. If I go now, I won't have any energy at the gym, so I'll just have breakfast first...
I'm too full to work out. I need to sit and digest for at LEAST an hour, or else I might puke at the gym...
