Hey girls,
I'm getting married on Oct 20-12, what's your date? AND 16 months to go hihi
Oct 19. We've decided to go with a Friday evening candlelit church ceremony.
Saturday was about $5K more.
we were hoping for oct 6, but found out the perferred church isn't available that day, so we either have to find a new church, or we are moving it to oct 20 which is what we will prob end up doing.
@DesireeAnne: I'm glad to see I'm not the only one counting lol...

My colors are going to be black, gold, ivory, and touches of blush pink! Can't wait to hear everyone else's ideas!

@DesireeAnne: my colours are purple, green, blue, soft rose and lilac. FI and I are arguing over wether we want bold or pastel colours. :P
Ugh, I am so stuck on wedding colors. It's driving me absolutely batty. I need help!
@DesireeAnne: We're doing a fall theme, so my BM's dresses are a nice apple red colour. The hall will have the red with off white as contrats, I will incorporating Yellows, reds, greens, oranges in my centerpieces.
@DesireeAnne: Are you doing a theme? I didn't pick any colours at first but I found myself using those colours more as I planned and eventually just went with it.

I got really hung up on fall themes and colors for a while. I had to stop because it was making me feel limited. We'll see what pans out.

I finally chose colors. J was a big help. He threw out a random color and I started googling. It's exactly what I wanted. Guess I was overthinking!

October 6th! It's Columbus Day weekend. We wanted to give our out of town guests an extra day for travel.
October 6th.If we can afford a honeymoon a Eastern cruise on Carnival leaves on October 7th!It would be perfect!
Getting married on 10-6-12. Nothing really set yet except the date. Just hoping to find a venue within our budget.
I love those colors. So vintage. I'm also thinking of colors different from what you'd expect for fall. I'm loving blush, irovy and gold, with a little touch of green. We'll see what pans out.

10.21.12 It's a Sunday (read: cheaper! woo!) lol and the day after my mom's birthday! And just has a really nice ring to it when you say it and looks pretty in numbers too. lol Also, I'm going with Alfred Angelo Berry for my girls dresses and then bright orange and yellow flowers. And champagne accents. :) And I totally have a countdown (years down to seconds) on my iPhone! :)
like several of the girls on here- 10.6.12! we are so excited! i've booked venue, officiant, photography, planner, chosen attendants, made a guest list. colors are yellow and grey.
October 27th 2012 wish it could have been the 31st but I am not waiting for 5 years to get married on halloween. Haha!!!
Oct 27, 2012! 15 months away (as of yesterday!). My colours are shades of purple with a tiny amount of apple green as an accent colour.
I'm doing a lot of the work myself: making my invitations, bouquets, centerpieces, favors (well the FI is doing those), boutonnieres, veil, and whatever else. I'm going to have a busy 15 months!
October 6, 2012. Can't wait!!! We're going with a rustic/earthy theme with a deep purple for our main color :)
@missypoo: Nice! We're having a rustic theme too. We're getting married on a farm, so I thought it would be cute. We're doing a lot with wood, twigs, bark that sort of thing. I'm really hopping it all comes together nicely.
Just set it for Oct. 7th, 2012.
I'm hoping our friends and family will have a three day weekend due to Columbus Day falling on 10/8/12. Do many people get that holiday off?
@bookwormbride: @Misfit: @The Pumpkin Queen: @n75nva: @JamieinMN: 5 date twins, woooohooooo! and JamieinMN...almost city twins too! area twins, anyway. FI is holding out for the possibility of getting married in his hometown (la crosse, WI), but i'd rather get married in the metro. soooooo many more possibilities, even on a budget, and since everyone on my side will have to do some major traveling (like, from the east coast), it'll be a lot easier for them to get there with a direct flight.
colors...bold and/or deep blue, with ivory and fall-color accents (oranges and reds and golds...maybe a touch of deep purple). if i play my cards right, I'LL be the one in blue and my girls will be in shades of ivory. :)
Our destination wedding is on October 6th!! :o) Yay!
Our at home reception was going to be on October 20th, but we recently had to change it to November 3rd because my mom's work schedule is different in October. Till we find out exactly what her schedule will be, we're leaving the date in Nov. If her schedule allows, we're going to shoot for October 27th.. otherwise it will stay as November 3rd. :D
