So ladies, we have a dream ring thread, what about a dream dress? I saw this one today at a bridal show and OMG the pix do nothing for it.. it is definitely worth the entire 3688!!

here's my reasonable favorite (omg the curves i'd have in this dress!!)

sidenote: no you won't see the dress that i had the melt down about! i have no idea why but c'est la vie lol!!
Same story that i have with the "dream ring" - i have a few "dream dresses" but my current fav is this one i saw after checking out some websites from that show Say yes to the dress!
The photo is a bit weird with a masssive white ball behind her?
Ok, just found some more nicer ones!
Not really even similar....
Ok - i think im looking at a strapless ball-gown, but thats as far as i can get! So indecisive!!
beautiful dresses!!!
@misssydney:the second dress that you posted is so awesome!!
@bumblebeebride:OMG the dress was so pretty and the texture on the dress was AMAZING!!
I haven't seen a dress that I think is "perfect" yet... but I've seen bits and pieces of dresses I like. I want a non-strapless a-line all lace dress with no train. Priority #1: I must be able to pee in my dress unassisted!! lol. This Maggie is the closest thing I've found. (By the way... maggie's site is TRICKY to get a picture from! Can't save, can't copy, can't print even! She is smart but I am smarter haha). The second pic is a convertable that I love in its long form... not sure if I'd even want to take the skirt off!
LOVE THE MARTINA!! I forgot to say that I'd add a strap to any dress that i choose....
Mine is an Amy Michelson... We are doing a beach wedding, so it's more casual but still elegant. The price is 3000-6000 so I'll probably never get it... I can dream right?
@waterprincess:that is stunning (wish i had the body for it!) i think maggie sottero has a lot that are really similar to that style...
OMG the second one Sydney posted is OUTRAGEOUS! I LOVE that! Holy cow.
I think I'd have to get mine custom made, as I want a corset with a skirt attached. I'm not certain about covering the corset. I thought about having some sort of ridiculously large skirt attached, and bf has asked if I could have a poofy/hoop skirt attached, but I don't know about the skirt. It would need sleeves.
When I was little, I wanted a fur-edged dress. It was the one wedding-thing I thought about, this fur-edged dress. It had long sleeves with fur at the wrists that were attached at the pit to a sleeveless dress, and the neck/shoulderline also was edged with fur. I wanted a long train, but I wasn't ever sure if I wanted it to be trimmed or not, because I didn't want the fur getting dirty. I didn't care about beading and other little details, just the neckline, sleeves, train and fur... Ah well.
A more realistic dream dress, that I could probably buy OTS would be one of the AA color dresses. Maybe the 1516 or 1612. But with sleeves.
Oh how fun! Here's the basic jist of mine! I want it in white or cream, though, as my family's side is Christian and my BF's is Muslim. Incidentally, neither one of us are Pakistani but I'm in love with lenghas so... too bad! :)
I'm torn between old style hollywood glamour:
And a swing-style, full circle dress by Vivian of Holloway, or Whirling Turban:

Ooooo, can I play too:) Here are a couple I like. I just don't know what will look good on me. Can't wait to try them on though:)
@LULI: jim hjelm: from the 2009 spring collection
@speechie: love the pob maeve
@misssydney: um love the monique!!
i wonder when the knock offs will start, that's the only good thing about waiting! we get to experience knock offs! LMAO! i think i'm changing my mind from the sexy silhouette to a bunch of texture on a fluid a-line... and a ruched bodice with a sweetheart neckline
Me?
Either something by Martina Liana or Ines di Santo.
I drool over Ms. di Santo's gowns!

Sophia Tolli - Selene. I LOVE the back, I LOVE that it isn't strapless, a current favourite
@waterprincess: it's la sposa fanal... and it looks great on soo many body shapes.
@gingerlex very pretty!
@belle: i see you in martina!!
Wow...crebre's first dress, and Sydney and Corgi's second dresses are all A-MAZING.
I'm so digging mermaid sillhouettes and lacy caps and sleeves. GUH.
This is my winner at the moment: Opera, from the 2010 Manuel Mota collection.

Love it!
@gingerlex: Ooh, that's one of my favs too! The cool thing about it is that you can detach the lace sleeves/back overlay.
Now, is "dream dress" the dress you would have if you could afford it? Or the dress you would have if you could wear it? Because there are a ton of dresses I adore but didn't even consider because I knew that they would look ridiculous on me!
this is just plain dream dress for those of us in waiting lol! i suppose we may answer differently after a proposal and a budget reality check
@ jocelyn : anything tight fittting on my bum would look ridiculous on me, i love my curves, but i'm small up top and big on the bottom so a mermaid would make me look like a potato - all short, stubby and lumpy.
A-line here I come baby!
@minutiae: That's what I like too, if I wanted to change my mind for the evening I could whip it off! the bonus is that it's affordable (ish)
Ooh I also loved the first one that corgitales posted :)
@gingerlex: I LOVE that dress. So pretty! And the back is amazing
miss sydney's second and my first choice have gotten me thinking i'm loving the swirls with the ruching (i mean why not have both?!) this is alfred angelo's collection, surely it's reasonable, right?! the bottom one on the left speaks to me.

*drool* I love the bottom right dress in your collage crebre!!
I have a small bust & I definitely NEED a sweetheart neckline. Plus the fabric just looks so luxurious. Someone pass me a towel please!! :)
@RB: it's an alfred angelo dress!! i have a large bust and i thnk the sweetheart will give me modern sexiness while um yeah keeping the girls strapped in. however i am going CRAZY because i cannot friggin' find that left dress picture ANYWHERE. i am not even sure if it's alfred angelo (bees does anyone know this dress?!) it's from a spring 2010 collection.
Side note, my mom worked for a store in Chicago when Alfred Angelo would come in and assist with designs. She said he was a total DB. :) I love their dresses though!
@corgitales: That Maggie Dress is the one I have been drooling over...along with a few more of hers....but right now the Lindel is my top pick (though I am uncertain of the flower a the center)
Selene was my front runner before I tried it on. It was still a close second, but I was just having panic getting in and out of the top. There was a lot of buttoning and hooking and I felt kind of trapped. But I love the pewter color, the fact that it had straps and the fact that it minimized me on top!
It was great, but in the end Dolce won!
okay i have been looking for that dress with the floral swirls and am going insane.. i cannot find it anywhere.
@crebre- Melissa Sweet!!! she has some swirl dresses
*ohhh and Monique!
