I’m not one of the super girly girl brides, and as much as I love looking a pages and pages of white dresses that I’ll probably never be able to afford, I was told I should buy some bridal magazines. I bought two – one which was awesome and had listing for venues and that’s pretty much it, and one that offered the promise of interesting reads and ideas, but of nearly 400 pages, maybe 50-100 were actually useful articles. Any recommendations for a good bridal magazing with more writing (tips, stories, ideas, CONTENT :)) than pretty pictures??

OK, so I’m cheating a little. 😛 But it has great content and hits a lot of the hot trends, which big bridal magazines tend to miss by months. Best part? It’s free.

I like Martha Stewart weddings. I am doing a lot of DIY, so it helps.

I only buy MSW. All of the other magazines had too many dress ads and I like the DIY projects in Martha!

D Weddings is great and so helpful for locations & vendors… despite their exterior (and the general vibe of D Magazines), they do feature many reasonably priced vendors.
I like MSW as much as anyone, and I also really like Real Weddings from Australia! It’s a huge, oversized magazine, the paper is so nice to touch, and the photos are always gorgeous. I have only seen it in two Barnes & Noble stores around here.

Martha Stewart Weddings. If you sign up for it, it is cheaper – $16 for a year subscription instead of cover price.
