i dont know what these newfangled names are. but when i was a kid the ones i liked were called "peanut butter patties" and "caramel delights" not samoas or trefoils or whateverthehecktheyrecallednow. at leat "thin mint" had the decency to keep its identity intact.
cant wait for my tagalongs and do-si-dos to arrive and totally derail my pre-wedding cookie-free diet!!!!
Yes Thin Mints are winning. And just to note, jealous of all of you eating the cookies with your amazing metabolisms, I had my once a month cookie treat today.
ohh I LOVE thin mints. I like buying them, putting them in the freezer, forgetting them and finding them later. I always get a big smile on my face because I can enjoy the cookies when they are "out of season" bahahahahaha.

I think they might be different in Canada, because we only have 2 kinds: Chocolate Mint and Chocolate/Vanilla Cream! But I voted for the mint one because those are def my fave!!
@mayeast - i think it's WHERE you live, as to the names of the cookies, because I remember these names from when I was a girl scout - which was a LOOOONNNNG time ago, lol; the site actually has two names for a few of the cookies;
Samoas = Caramel DeLites
DoSiDo= Peanut Butter Sandwich
Tagalongs = Peanut Butter Patties
Trefoils = Shortbread
i'm used to calling them peanut butter patties, carmel delights, etc. too. The different names are from different bakers apparently. My favorite is the pb patty and the thank you cookies.
i love LOVE carmel deLites!!!!! but a close second would be shortbread. (chilled in the freezer for both naturally)

Caramel DeLites are definitely my fave! Now I must find a girl scout to buy a few boxes from... haha.
the somoas are my faves, i sure could go for some right now, chilled straight from the fridge.
Caramel deLites are the best!!! I love them! And a close second are the shortbreads.
Oh jeez, can we really only choose one?! I love Samoas, thin mints, tag alongs...
My favorite isn't on here - I am OBSESSED with the shortbread cookies. MMMM I want some so bad!

I wouldn't turn any of them down but my absolute faves are Samoas.

Trefoils...but I have noticed that the last few years the quality has been hit or miss. My FI LOVES Samoas and each year I send him about 10 boxes b/c his work hours are so crazy he can never find a girlscout or girlscout parent..selling them.

I devoured a box of Peanut Butter Patties at an embarrassing rate after Christmas this year. They've been my favorite ever since I was little!
I love love love Samoas!!! I posted about this a few days ago. I always take the excuse that since I'm Samoan, I'm totally entitled to splurge on a box at girl scout cookie time.

Samoas!!! I was *highly* disturbed when I moved from PA to TX and discovered the names were different ... the hell? I shrieked with joy when a girl scout knocked on my door selling cookies. I cannot WAIT for my samoas to arrive!!
Hands down... Samoas!!! I love them... and now I'm craving them!!

I don't know the names either but I LOVE the Peanut Butter patties and the Caramel De-Lites!! YUM YUM!

I guess I'm kind of boring, because I really like the shortbread ones (the Trefoils). My second favorite is the Samoas!

I love Samoas...so delicious. I could easily eat a whole box by myself, in one sitting, which is why I try to resist buying them
Peanut Butter Patties (or I think they're also called Tagalongs?) are my absolute fave! I wish that more came in a box...

For all you other past Girl Scouts out there, anyone remeber back in the day when we sold little cheddar crackers that were part of the "cookie" collection. Nobody remebers those, and I always thought it was a weird thing to sell with the cookies.
Haha, Samoas! I've never heard of the other names these are called until Mr Trail Mix came home with FOUR boxes of them, all labelled caramel delites...Call them what you will, they are the best cookie ever!
