I'm doing an experiment and want to know what your favorite holiday is?
I've come to find most peoples favorite holiday is the one closest to their birthday and I want to know how often that proves to be true...
Mine is Halloween and always has been since as long as I can remember (my birthday is October 28th) =D

I didn't even read the actual post before I voted. I voted for St. Patrick's Day because I think it's fun and my birthday is March 18. So I guess I proved you right. 
Mine is Valentine's day (: It's also my birthday, so I may be a bit biased haha. Christmas is up there on my list too, I love the atmosphere!
I am very much in love with fourth of July. I love the fireworks and the wonderful celebration, and I adore summer...so its pretty much perfect for me!
But christmas is my favorite "normal" holiday.
@sugarpea: My sisters is Valentines day and her birthday is Feb 8th!
I voted for Thanksgiving. My birthday is in september which makes labor day and halloween closer to it.
@Meowkers: I love Thanksgiving too, my 2nd favorite! I love food =D

Thanksgiving. I like that it is really a time to be with family and reflect rather than being just about gifts.
My birthday is in April. I was actually born on Easter Sunday.
@HappilyEverAfter54: Halloween is my second favorite because I met FI at a halloween party.
lol I just realized I forgot Easter... much like my life I have a son and still always forget Easter...
New Year's Eve! Which is also now my wedding anniversary :)

I love my bday in August because I get great gifts because it's not close to any major holiday ;)
I voted Christmas and my birthday is in may, not many holidays in may, besides mothers day but since i'm not a mother yet it's definitely not my fave :)
I don't really like the Holidays. But I chose Easter because there is not a lot of pressure, it is the best time of the year (in Wisconsin) and spring it always seems full of... promise (? for lack of a less corny word). It just makes my think of candy and spending a nice dinner/time together. And I LOVE cadbury eggs.
Its a tie between Halloween and Christmas. Halloween because its so much fun and I love making costumes, Christmas because of all the time I get to spend with my family.. and cookies!
My birthday is December 28th.
I love Hallowe'en and Christmas the best (can't really decide between the two), and my birthday is April 25th.
I LOVEEE CHRISTMAS!! I start counting down in September....lol. My birthday is in September. But I also have sentimental ties to Memorial Day- FI and I started dating Memorial Day 2006.
I almost voted other and said, my birthday. But figured I'd go with Christmas. . . my birthday's a super close second though.
My favorites are all fairly close together like a few of yours... Halloween followed by Thanksgiving and then New Years. Mainly because of parties and friends... and FOOD hehehe. I don't celebrate any of the other holidays (Christmas a tiny bit for my son but I could skip over that one without a second thought)- my son loves Christmas (his birthday is in December) and my FI loves NYE and his birthday is January 5th lol
New Year's and Easter are my top two. I just love New Year's, and Easter is what it's all about! I find Easter much more joyous and special than Christmas...and not nearly as commercialized, haha. Easter is still sacred. It also involves lots of chocolate, which is an excellent bonus. It's also in spring, my favorite season! I tend to like the rebirth/starting new stuff. :D
My birthday is May 11. Sometimes it falls on Mother's Day, which is stinky seeing as I'm not a mother and don't get double presents, just a skipped party. :(
ETA: My fiance's birthday is March 4--best birth date ever, March forth!--and his favorite holiday is Halloween.
Ever since I was little, I loved Christmas! Still do! I love New Years Eve too, and since we got married that day, I have a feeling it will be my new favorite!
@Minutiae: aww well you were your moms mothers day gift! My sister was born actually on mothers day May 12th that year! I have a 6 year old and mothers day is super special... if you ever have kids you'll LOVE that it's also your birthday =)
Mine is Christmas and I'm born in August so that doesn't really connect. But who can't love Christmas?!
I voted for Thanksgiving, and my b-day is March 27 - sometimes falls on Easter.
Independence Day!! but then again my birthday is the day after. And I like fireworks.
But you are neglecting Chahakuh, and Rosh Hashanha, Purim, Yom Kippur, Kwanzaa, Ramadan, the Chinese New Year, Passover. And different independence days for different countries. Heck you forgot Easter too (and I loooooove me some Cadbury Eggs). I also like Flag Day because it seems to be such a pointless holiday. :D

My birthday is in April, and Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. Food and family and just relaxing at DH's aunt's cabin on the Cheaspeake Bay...le sigh. We even served Thanksgiving dinner at our wedding.
Fourth of July is a close second, especially since DH proposed that day. And I like New Year's Eve a lot...the metaphorically wiping the slate clean for a new year.
@HappilyEverAfter54: It will be great for the kids because they can combine holidays and gifts, haha! Our wedding anniversary won't be too far off either...triple threat. :P
