Just wondering what unique or cool things people found that they're really excited about (and I haven't registered yet so I'm hoping to get ideas)

The only thing I am really excited about is the Kitchen Aide mixer. I've already told FI if no one gets it for us, we are buying it with the discount they give you after the wedding! I'm also excited about the Cuisinart panini maker...

I got my fave item: The espresso/cappochino/ coffee maker machine! Now I can fuel my caffine addiction at less the cost of every day Starbucks.

What kind of espresso maker did you get

    And what's the flatware

We've just done hand-me-downs this far in life so I'm not sure what items are quality and which ones cost a lot but then are a bit of junk.

It's weird, but we have a stand mixer and china on our registry, but I'm most excited about our "everyday" dishes and bakeware, mostly because I hate what we currently have (a mish-mosh of his and my own college stuff). Our everyday stuff is plain white place setting and white casserole bakers and such, but I hope we get all of it!

My favorite thing, also is the cheapest thing on my registry!   I love  poached eggs, but usually make soft boiled instead because I just can't get the mechanics of the poached egg/water swirling thing down.

I didn't want an egg poaching pan (I live in a small apartment - who has room?) but then I found these Egg Poaching Pods at Crate and Barrel: http://reviews.crateandbarrel.com/7258/32095/reviews.htm

Now, if someone would just hurry up and buy them for me!

I am super excited about the knives...I have never owned nice knives, and can never cut anything very fine because our knives are too dull..but when I tested out the Wusthof Classic line, I fell in love, they are amazing!

The Dyson Animal vacuum. I know we won't get it unless five or six people go in together as it's over $500, but I'm hopeful none the less!

We registered for the "chair and a half" at Crate and Barrel and its definitely my favorite item, though we aren't expecting anyone to buy it, we put it on our registry so we can buy it with the discount after the wedding!

I was excited to get so many things.  One was the Kitchenaid Stand Mixer, we got it a few weeks after the wedding so we werent expecting it at all.  Another one we were excited to get was a fondue pot.  Since we got it Ive made 3 cheese fondues, a chocolate fondue and we had a meat fondue last night. yummy!  Another one was our flatware set and little kitchen odds and ends.

I didn't go with the most high end, expensive ones since I knew I probably wouldn't get it. But this was somewhere in the middle. It works great so far. No complaints. But then I have never had an espresso machine to compare it too.

The iRobot Roomba! We've got floors everywhere and two dogs that like to dig up holes in the backyard and bring alllll the dirt they can inside...I clean the floors just about everyday and it drives me nuts! The mister is excited about all of the fancy cooking things he picked out...he's the cook in the house :-) I'm also excited for all the "As Seen On TV" things I picked out at BB&B. I couldn't help myself.

I would say the kitchenaid mixer, but the most treasured item from my registry is the set of china my mom gave me for my bridal shower.  I may just display it and not use it. :)

FI and I LOVE to cook!  So I'm excited about our All-Clad and the KitchenAid Professional Mixer.  Literally since high school, I used to tell my mom that that mixer would be the first thing I would register for when I got married hahaha  I'm just hoping now that people will actually get them for us now. :)

I did a similar topic a while ago, and it sounds like most people really want their flatware!  (Something I never thought of before my own wedding).  If it's within budget, if I go the gift route instead of GC/cheque that is what I will give from now on!

I love my new everyday flatware, and am also happy to have the fancy flatware (although no reason to use it yet I only have 1 set of china).  I'll have to get more flatware later, but for the 2 of us it's enough right now!

Other items we're happy to have:

Our rotating oxo utensil holder - kind of silly, but we didn't even wait for our completion coupon to pick it up, DH wanted stuff more organized immediately, it's bigger than our old one and I love that it rotates!  No more spilling everything out of it to get the thing in the back!

Dyson ball animal vac.  We don't have animals, but I figured the extra attachments were worth it.  We have too many boxes in the way right now to get much use out of it though.  I'm such a lazy unpacker!

Wooden salad bowls - DH really wanted these, and he let me register for china, so I'm happy he got some.  We'll have to get some more, right now we have the large & 2 small.

Everyday Denby plates - I didn't even originally register for these!  We were planning on picking out something from walmart for everyday plates that would get replaced over time.  After receiving some at a shower, I had to add on a few extra pieces to the registry and received them all as gifts.
