I don't live in Detroit, but I go there on business all the time (I work in the auto industry), and I love the restaurants! Greektown is always a must-visit :)
Like you, KaterTot, I love being so close to my sports teams--Wolverines, Tigers, Red Wings! I also love living in Michigan because we have such a diverse state--interesting cities, beautiful beaches and awesome people!
I love the Detroit Pistons, Red Wings, and Tigers. I love the change of the seasons. All thre rest sucks, the roads, peoples personality.
