For me, I would have to say either my ivory knit UGG boots or my black wool jacket. I can't pick one!
Do you have a winter staple you can't live without?
Oh, my lovely black wool coat from H&M. It has a high neck and I LOVES it! I feel like such a fashion plate whenever I have it on, even if I am wearing sweats underneath, lol!
my coat!! it is great chocolate wool with an indulgent chocolate faux fur color and i wear a blue star brooch on it.. i love it!
Scarfs, hats, gloves and boots. Mostly the boots. I love boots :D
Growing up in a tropical climate, I never got a chance to wear winter clothing. Now that I live in a place that has four clearly-defined seasons, I take full advantage of it and wear the scarf and the hat and the gloves every time it gets a little bit too chilly. And I've always loved boots, so yeah :-)
I love scarves. They are so comfy and warm and can make any outfit that much cuter!
@July: This is kind of similar to you... but I love leggings and boots! I guess that counts as 2 more winter items I love! LOL!
@ SunnyPrincess - We just got H&M here in Vancouver about a year or so ago. It was MADNESS when the store opened. I just love that their style is so affordable, yet looks so great.
@Valhalla: You're absolutely right! Their style is classic and trendy, but affordable at the same time. Everytime I visit Chicago I make sure to go to H&M to update my wardrobe.
I also love my collection of winter scarves. A cute scarf just completes the winter outfit!
I am currently looking for a new touque (hat in the US? Someone told me touque was a Canadian word!).
I bought an orange quasi-sweater type thing that I am COMPLETELY in love with. I can't even explain it, but I'd wear it every single day if I didn't think my corworkers would think I was insane.
I always look forward to the weather getting colder so I can wear all my boots!
I have a grey and blue Burberry check scarf that I am in love with. It's toasty and oh so cute!
My puffy down jacket and my crocheted blue and gold (Go Bears!) tassled beanie! I'm such a snow girl!
I had a red cashmere hoodie sweater that I loved, but I left it at the sushi place and when I went back, they didn't have it:( Boo! I also love my black wool coat, but I don't get much chance to wear it here in AZ! It was only 70 here yesterday and it dropped down to 47 last night. WHen I woke up it was 70 in the house and the cat was even pissed off because she was cold! LOL!
It's gotta be the coat I bought at Kohl's last winter - dark grey wool, feminine details like a ruffled buttom and sleeves...aww....too bad I live in FL, lol. For FL winter, I guess I'd say my many hoodies =D
My dorky red and gray stiped hat with the long ear peiced and big puff ball on the top. lol. I got it in a thrift store last winter and I LOVE it.
Scarves and tights! (Though I tend to wear scarves year round. Weird, I know).
My boots -- knee-high black elastic-sided boots, with just a wee bit of a chunky heel. They look so fabulous, I now have them in brown as well as black.
fluffy socks. i'm in fl so we don't do winter like most people, but my feet are always cold.
I love late fall/winter clothes so much. Scarves, tights, boots are all up there.
My FAVORITE is either my gray cableknit wool sweaterthat i wear all the time or my oatmeal colored cableknit wool button up... its HUGE and so comfy!
I just bought a coat from J. Crew and it is the BEST COAT EVER. It is the wool duffle coat and it has that thinsulate stuff and it is the best shape. Not boxy at all, not too feminine, warm and cozy! I got mine in wild blackberry (navy). I also LOVE my classic khaki-colored rain trench. Oh, and vintage leather gloves in all colors of the rainbow. As a Los Angeles girl born and bred, I'm still a fish outta water with this whole winter weather stuff now that I live in NYC.

i bought a black wool peacoat from old navy over 4 years ago and i can't believe it has lasted this long. its almost time for me to bring it to the dry cleaners to make sure it is ready for me to wear once it gets really cold here in NC.
I love winter clothes so it's a good thing I live in a cold place. I don't think I have just one favorite thing for winter. I love boots, coats, scarves, hats, sweaters. I just love putting on layers of clothes.
I love my Uggs! I have two pairs of boots (tall and short) and slippers! They keep my feet warm and toasty all winter. Also, I love my flannel PJs, too.
I'm going to go the functional route here and say my Columbia Titanium coat. Its as thin as a a light jacket, but it keeps me warm through the coldest temps (think -40 and I'm still going). Fashion pretty well goes out the window for me when winter lasts for 6 months :).
Scarves- lots of options to make my collection of black coats look different.
@appleblossom- I am in the market for a new ridiculously cold weather coat, so I'm happy for the rec you didn't even know you gave!
Scarves! I have a bajillion of them, and only one season in which to wear!
@lkbphmd - It is UNREAL how warm those coats are. I also have the traditional Columbia coat with a zip-out fleece, and I don't even use it, unless I"m outside and not moving for more than 30 minutes in negative temps. For everything else (shoveling snow, X-country skiing, going to work) I use my titanium. You must must must get one :). I've worn mine non-stop for 3 winters and it still looks new.
I hate all my winter clothes right now, but if I had to pick something I do like that can't be worn in summer, it'd be my boots.
scarves!! i loooove winter scarves. of course i have tons of faux-pashminas, but there's just something that feels good about wearing a warm wooly scarf in the cold weather!
BOOTS! I can wear them with anything and I love them so much! Plus I have super-weak ankles and boots support them so I can wear higher heels -- woooo!
wool coat, boots and tights. I'm a dress/skirt kind of gal, so even in the cold weather, you'll find me wearing a dress with some tights and boots to keep my legs warm.
my long black, red, and white plaid trench coat...paired with my red Chinese Laundry purse...I look fabulous...
