    @Arshim:  Asscher is my favorite, though I doubt I will ever get to own one!

    @Arshim:  I agree. Very art deco, step cut. This is why I chose an emerald cut (asscher not having been an option), closest I could get!

    @FutureMrsV2016:  Booo. But here’s a pic to oogle. 🙂

    @Arshim:  Like PPs, I also love asscher cuts (I have a gorgeous loose asscher cut yellow sapphire that I’m dying to set!) And like you, I can’t wait to get an OMC! They’re so freaking gorgeous! However, I voted for ovals! I just love ’em! This is the one going into my ring! I’m so excited!

    @FutureMrsV2016:  That’s lovely. I’ll take one in size 9. Thanks!

    I have an asscher and love it! However, it does look smaller for its carat weight. Only down fall.

    I LOVE emerald cuts! There is a bee on here who has a ring that is just to die for. It’s a good sized emerald with a dainty little halo around it and it is just GORGEOUS. Unfortunately none of the stores we looked at carried any emerald cuts in the carat size I wanted, and I wasn’t willing to order one without seeing it first. So I have a princess cut with a halo, which is also beautiful and I wouldn’t trade it for anything, but I definitely admire the uniqueness of an emerald cut!

    I used to only want a cushion cut, then I saw round brillants, and I loved the extra sparkle I saw in them.  So I got the best of both worlds, a round brillant in a cushion halo.
