MsGinkgo:  so many good choices. Hocus Pocus is great. I might be weird, but Disney channel was such a huge thing in my childhood, so I remember all those movies. I loved Halloweentown and Twitches. Those are the two I remember best. Oh, and My Mom’s On a Date with a Vampire. I think that’s what it’s called.

I don’t like really scary movies. I don’t go anywhere near Paranormal or the Exorcist or anything like that.

My guy is the same, he’s awful with scary movies! I did get him to watch “Cabin in the Woods” though and he actually enjoyed it =)

Some of my top picks:

Halloween (original and newer Rob Zombie versions)

Hocus Pocus

The Haunted Mansion

Casper

Mrs.BigBear:  I hated Cabin in the Woods LOL!

Not cause it was scary, it was just….not great. Lol, maybe I have high standards.

So many choices! Hocus Pocus, or because I live in the town where the series was filmed- Halloweentown. Our town goes all out on the decor and dresses up the square just like they did for the movies. So rad!

geneva2:  +1 Those and The Nightmare before Christmas!

I carved my pumpkin to look like Sally last year. 2 years ago I dressed up like Sally. Love that movie!

winterwoodlandbride15:  OOh yeah, exactly ! I knew I was missing one!  Your pumpkins look SOO cool, I love them! And I’m guessing your costume looked awesome too, would love to see if you’ve got a picture around 🙂

My roommates and I (and then later my FI and I) would randomly walk around during pretty much any month of the year and sing to one another “this is halloween this is halloween” and one of my roommates in particular did the BEST imitation of the cat alarm “mreeeeeeooooowwwww”

I’m so not a horror movie gal, so I have to throw another vote at Hocus Pocus.

Does ‘It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown’ count? I know it’s technically a TV special…

MrsYellowDaffodil:  LOL! I think I just “get” that particular sense of humor since it was made by Joss Whedon and I was a huge Buffy/Angel fan growing up 😉

Definitely Halloween (the first one)!  I love scary movies and have seen a billion.  Romantic comedies and dramas get no love from me in the movie theaters lol. From childhood,  I’d have to go with Halloweentown.

MsGinkgo:

Non-scary: Halloweentown, Hocus Pocus, Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice, Coraline, Sleepy Hollow, The Addams Family, and Corpse Bride.

Scary: Halloween (obviously), The Grude, The Conjuring, The Ring, The Exorcist, The Shining, Rosemary’s Baby, The Blair Witch Project, Paranormal Activity, The Birds…basically anything that’s creepy.

MrsYellowDaffodil:  I love all those Disney Halloween movies too! *Sigh* I’d love to watch them right now.

I think my all time favorite is Hocus Pocus though!
