Excluding diamonds and moissanites and all precious stones (sapphires, rubies and emeralds), what’s your favourite stone for a RHR or just jewellery in general?
PLEASE POST PICS OF YOUR DIFFERENT GEMSTONE JEWELLERY IF YOU HAVE!!!!!

@rcac1208: Thanks for posting. That’s a very unique setting. I like the semi-bezel look 🙂

I voted alexandrite, but pearls & opals are right up there too!
ETA: here’s my alexandrite ring! It’s shining suuuuuuuuuper purple here. It’s looking pretty maroon and grey today. Love the changes with the lighting.

Turquoise, green amethyst, and moonstone (in that order), and all in rose gold or 22k gold bezels. Mmm.

Alexandrites are regarded as precious stones. I like all of them 😀

I voted amethyst because it’s purple and I love purple (so consequently have a lot of amethyst jewelry).
However, blue topaz is my birthstone, and my second favorite piece of jewelry (second to my e-ring!) is this light blue topaz ring:

I didnt vote, because I love too many. I love amethyst (old e-ring was pink amethyst,) tanzanite (new e-ring,) moonstone, alexandrite, aquamarine, opals, mystic topaz types.

Tough choice! I chose turquoise. It’s my favorite color. Close second was aquamarine.

Mine is Blue Topaz. I like to pretend it’s my birthstone. My real birth stone is aquamarine, but I’m more of a bold colors girl, and I find aqua is too light. I dont have any photos on this computer, but I wear a lot of them!

One? Just one?? OK I’m gonna cheat and say Quartz because there are so many varieties. Technically chalcedony, agate, jasper, chrysoprase, carnelian, and even petrified wood are classified as quartz species.

@Arshim: I chose alexandrite, although, technically, it is a precious, not semi-precious stone, as it is far more rare than diamonds, etc.

I would normally say jade or moonstone, but I’m loving Alexandrite lately, especially since it’s my fiancés birthstone. We even had an alexandrite surprise stone put in my engagement ring 🙂
