Our was the Rosie Thomas version of "Let It Be Me". Absolutely perfect and the lyrics are so sweet. Our mothers were the ones to suggest the song....there are hundreds of versions we just picked our favorite. Let me know what you think.

And Beccs, I looove Umbrella covers. Mandy Moore's version is my fiance's favorite.

We're dancing to Everything by Michel Buble. I like that it's more fast-paced and upbeat.

We're using the Peter Gabriel cover of "The Book of Love."
We decided to let my husband choose our first dance song and surprise me with it on our wedding day! We danced to Amazed by Lonestar.
The only things we've come up with is "walk the line" by Johnny Cash. He used to sing it to me before we got engaged ... and well, it's the closet thing we have to a song. He acutally suggested it when I asked if he had any ideas. Lukcily I used to be a dancer and I'm trying to convince him to let me coregraph something. Um ... I'll keep you all updated on that one! (=

"So Amazing", but FH wants the original version by Luther Vandross, and i want the remake by Beyonce and Stevie Wonder...
i think we may go with the original version tho...
"What If I Loved You" by Joey Gian from the movie "Return To Me" starring David Duchovny and Minnie Driver. I have always loved that song since I first heard it and my mother reminded me of it the other day and it is perfect! Upbeat and happy and romantic. I love Michael Buble and Frank Sinatra so I think this is a good unexpected choice. Here is a link to the lyrics:

My Intended and I are dancing to "Cupid" by Jack Johnson. It is only a minute and a half long. We are having our DJ then move into "Somewhere Over a Rainbow/What A Wonderful World" by Isreal something or other (from 50 First Dates and Meet Joe Black). It has the same island feeling as the Jack Johnson song. We will then invite the wedding party to dance. We didn't want a MARATHON song where everyone gets bored watching us float around.

So my FI and I love the song I'll Be by Edwin McCain- but ever since we started discussing what we're going to be dancing to, he said (if any of you have seen Blades of Glory you'll understand....) "Im dancing to one song and one song only..." So I think we're dancing to I'll be, cut into the recorded saying from the movie, into a fun choreographed version to My Humps by the BEP's..hahaha .. corny or no?
Ours will be "Remember When" by Alan Jackson, it gave both of us goose bumps when we heard it.

AWWW MissBlueBear that is one of our favorite songs!! But we already had a song picked before we realized how much we both love Rob Thomas and "Ever the Same"...what a wonderful song! We're dancing to Elton John's "Tiny Dancer"...it's our first kiss song! Meaning...it was playing during our first kiss! HEHE!
Sparkle I love that song "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz....I think we will be dancing to that during the night along with the other one I said that is one of our favs ..."Ever the Same" by Rob Thomas!! I LOVE MUSIC!
We are seriously considering "I'll Follow You Into the Dark" by Death Cab for Cutie. Is that too dark for a first dance song??
I'm pretty sure we're doing "Sing Me Sweet" by Matt Nathanson (as long as FI can do a little editing of it- because it is over four minutes long... too long for us!).
The new Brad Paisley song "Then" is such a great and touching song! We're condering it for our first dance
