I have a hard finding good foundation. My skin is sensitive with an oily/dry combination, although dryer in the winter.
I am curious what eveyone else is using… Before and after pics would be great!
My foundation routine takes forever as I am new at this, so hopefully I will get better and faster at it.

Day to day, I use Smashbox BB cream in Light. I have dry, sensitive skin, too, and this is definitely plenty of moisture most of the year. Now that it is colder I sometimes put a little moisturizer on under it.
For special occassions, I use foundation. I’ve used everything from Clinique to Revlon to Tarte; and I just ordered a special Hilighting And Contouring foundation (HAC) from my favorite beauty blogger. Hopefully I’ll like it and use it for the wedding makeup!
This picture is of my DIY “makeup trial” using my Revlon Colorstay (over a light moisturizer and Smashbox primer).
And this picture is just with the BB I wear daily.

I use Revlon Colorstay, I need good coverage because I have bad skin (prone to breakouts and redness around the nose area) and for a 15$ drugstore product, it’s quite impressive ! But I do not wear it daily. These past weeks I’ve used Garnier BBCream and I’ve broken out like crazy even if I have washed my face properly. Not sure I’ll carry on with this product.

Like a PP, my daily use product is Smashbox BB Cream. I use CeraVe normal-dry moisturizer underneath, and seal with Urban Decay All nighter setting spray. My Make-up easily goes from 8am-9pm (when I wash it off).
My “I feel like putting in effort” foundation is Smashbox Moisturizing 15 hour foundation. Then I use CeraVe moisturizer as step 1, NARS skin smoothing prep as sten 2, smashbox foundation as step 3, Tarte clay setting powder as step 4, and Urban Decay setting spray as step 5. When I do this, I get a solid 16+ hours of perfect make-up.
My skin is weird. I get rough dry patches (usually on my cheeks), but I can also be a giant oil slick depending on where I am in my cycle, with some hormonal acne thrown in for good measure.

I use Tarte Smooth Operator BB Cream. It’s a medium coverage tinted moisturizer and I really like it. If I have a Big event, then I use MAC foundation.

@O.My.Heart: I like chanel. I have oily/combination skin, but dry in the winter skin and I love it. I also really like MYFD, and Revlon color stay.

I LOVE Bobbi Brown’s liquid foundation!! I have combination skin as well, and it gives great coverage without being too heavy!

I have nice skin luckily, so I don’t normally wear foundation except for really special events. I’m doing my own makeup for the wedding and will be using Make Up Forever HD liquid foundation. It’s matte and stays looking nice for hours, and I also use an Urban Decay setting spray to help with that. I trailed out the whole look for our company Christmas party last week and was still happy with how it looked at the end of the night.

I’ve been using Clinique since middle school… used to use their powder foundation, but I switched to liquid in late high school. I use drug store brands for everything else makeup related, but I like the way the Clinique foundation looks/feels as a base to everything else.

@O.My.Heart: Hey there 🙂 I have the same problem as you, and that is why I typically change foundations in the winter. This is what I use:
1.) I was my face with cetaphil. It is awesome and great for sensitive skin.
2.) I put on Korres Wild Rose 24 hour brightening cream and moisturizer before anything else
3.) I also use a serum. I prefer Oil of Olay Regenerist daily serum
4.) I absolutely love Smasbox photo finish primer. It really smooths and preps your skin for makeup well and it smells nice 🙂
5.) My skin is blotchy in the winter so I use a concealer. I love Maybelline cover stick in white or Still stay all day concealer (it’s more expensive, about 23 dollars)
6.) For foundation I have been using Maybelline FIT Me Shine Free Foundation stick and I love it! It is lightweight, goes on smoothe, plus it’s a stick so you just glide it right on to your face.
Sorry for the blurry pic.

@lovekiss: Don’t want to thread jack too much, but it sounds like you really like the Urban Decay setting spray. I’ve been considering purchasing it for my wedding day, as I’m DIY-ing my makeup. Can you fill me in on tips, tricks, and why you like it so much? Thanks!!
