I'm working on editting a paper and decided to watch Up.  Without fail, the beginning of this movie always leaves me a blubbering ball of tears!

What movie is always dependable to make you cry like a baby?

Up does me in as well. There's also this movie with Mya Rudolph and the guy from the office that I can't remember the name of but the end makes me sob.

    Coincidentally:

We just re-watched Up last night.  I still cry most of the way through, and FH holds me tight everytime.

Oh my gosh I saw PS I love you in the theater with my mom, and cried. I felt like such a baby. Some other movies that have made me cry are John Q, Brave Heart, and Pursuit of happyness.

really any sad movie that could really happen.

@CrispyRN: Same thing here. I watched it in HS and it was so sad. As an adult, very cheasy and unreal. "promise you wont fall in love with me?" how corny and unrealistic...who would say that in that situation? weird...

P.S. I love you will get me every single time and Atonement was really bad.  Armageddon gets me too and A Walk to Remember...but the first two, without fail.

    @Lemma

When David Tennant 'died', specifically when he said, "I don't want to go". Man, DH and I both were all dew eyed then. And watching old episodes whenever D Tennant says "ah I'm always ok" makes me sad. Neerrrrrding out

@fiver: Ok yeah, that was sad. It probably made it worse that I really didn't want him to go!

@peterpotamus: My parents brought me back that movie from their trip to Japan and I was bawling from just hearing them tell me the story of Hachiko. I refuse to watch the movie.

"A Dancer in the Dark"...that movie doesn't just make me cry, it literally destroys me.

The director (Lars von Trier) did another film called "Breaking the Waves" which is apparently way worse. I haven't watch it yet because people have been warning me I will need a weekend to recover. His films don't break your heart so much as rip it out of your chest and stomp on it till you can't breathe.

Ok, don't laugh but Big Daddy with Adam Sandler.  Every time the little boy has to leave with the social worker and then the scene in court when he says "I want you to be my daddy!"  Ahhh... it gets me every time, and I have no idea why.  He's just so darn cute, and I love it.

And the second movie that always makes me cry is Love Happens with Jennifer Anniston.  That movie kind of touches on things in my life, and when I watch it I sob, but it makes me feel better afterwards, so I guess that's good?

Um... you can laugh but don't judge please :P HP and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. I cried both times in the theatre, and assumed I was just sad that the series is ending since I never cry for movies. But then I watched it again now that it's out on DVD and yep, I was in tears again.

And Fox in the Hound made me cry when I was little but it doesn't now. Still a great movie though.

@fiver: I think at that point I started yelling at the TV- I did not want him to leave :(

When Face of Bo/Jack died I was pretty upset too, but less crying more pouting.

Another vote for P.S. I Love You and A Walk to Remember.  P.S. I Love You even had my fiance crying!  We watched it at the hotel the night after my best friend's wedding, we were passing the tissues back and forth.

@galloway111:  I also cried during Harry Potter, several times.  Dumbledore and Dobby's deaths did me in.  I am a huge Harry Potter fan.  :)
