45-60 minutes for hair, 20-30 minutes for makeup, and worked backwards from the time we need to be wherever.

@HeLovesDogs:  So I was trying to work out something that would work for you, but I have a few questions first.

Are you paying per hour for you hair/makeup or just per girl.  Just wondering in case you start earlier or go later.

Also, do you mom and grandmother need to be done at the same time as you and your bridesmaids?  We are doing our bridal party pictures first, so my mom and grandmother will be getting done while we are taking those pictures and then meeting up with us for family pics.

Finally, I would say 1 hour per girl for their hair.  So with 8 people total and 2 stylists I would say no less than 4 hours total.  So if you can start earlier, I’d recommend going from 9:30-1:30 for hair/make-up.

Also, you can double check with your hair stylists and make-up artists.  The times that I gave you above are based off of what my stylists told me, so yours might vary.  Just call up and ask how much time they’ll need total.

@W292737: I agree.

We are all starting our hair appointments at the salon at the same time, 10am. I’m the only one getting my makeup done, so I’ll take longer than everyone else. I told the salon we need to be out by noon. So they gave us 2 hours to get everyone done. My situation is a little different though, because everyone is starting at the same time & has their own stylist. So I assume everyone will be done by 11, then they’ll have to just wait on me to finish up.

@HeLovesDogs:  Maybe I’m not reading it right but I think you are missing some time slots if each girl needs 45mins for hair plus an additional 45mins for makeup? Or is it 45min total time for both hair and makeup?

For us we have 7 people (myself, 4 bridesmaids, maid of honour and mother of the bride), 1 makeup artist and 2 hair stylists and they have let me know they need approx 30mins per girl and 45mins-1hr for myself. We need to leave the house by 11:45 so might readjust a bit more. I’ve had my makeup trial so she’s taken note of what to do there but I haven’t had my hair trial yet so that’ll determine the final timing for hair.

For Makeup:

7:45-8:15

8:15-8:45

8:45-9:15

9:15-10 (Me!)

10-10:30

10:30-11

11-11:30

For Hair:

9-9:30

9:30-10

10-10:30 & 10-10:30 (2nd stylist)

10:30-11 & 10:30-11:15 (2nd stylist for me)

11-11:30

@HeLovesDogs:  I’m glad I could help.  Yeah, having my mom and grandmother getting ready while we are doing bridal party pics seems like it will work well.
