I edit Wikipedia... as well as edit wikis for various TV shows.  I have no idea how I got sucked into this hobby... but now I can't watch TV without taking notes.

How about you... what's your most random and/or embarrassing hobby?

Bwah ha ha! Being on WeddingBee even thought I'm not engaged yet. It's such an addiction, and I can't stop!

Also, shooting from the hip with my camera. I get the most awesomely random shots from it and it's really weird to have people ask "why is your camera sitting on your hip? Are you taking pictures like that?!"

Hmm, not sure if this counts as a weird hobby, but because I live in the city, I have to keep my horse at a barn out in the suburbs... so when I come back from seeing her, I often forget that I'm wearing muddy boots and half chaps or something like that. I end up walking down the city streets dressed like that after a day at the barn! People look at me like I'm crazy.

@ KMSull: that's what I was going to say.  My bf and I are YEARS from being engaged because we're both still in school, but I love Weddingbee and I have to remember not to go on during class because people think I'm weird checking it so often!

@Mr.Bee- I do get caught! When we have work nights, he'll randomly look over, see what I'm doing, and then roll his eyes. I've taken to making sure I face the screen totally opposite where he is so he can't see, because 99% of the time, I'm on HERE for "work" night!

well every weekend i squeeze myself into lots and lots of rubber and go scuba diving.. a sport where if you come out of the water with snot all over your face, its totally ok - oh, and dont forget its also totally ok to pee in your suit and tell people about it

my other thing is im an live online blogger for the biggest loser show down here. every single night, for 4 months myself and a hardy band of online friends will blog every single smile, twitch and calorie lost during the daily show - and we have a following, which is even scarier in a way. its my 4 months of reality insanity and we have been doing it for about 3yrs now and already preparing for another season

I play video games.  I LOVE video games.  I go into game stores with my fiance and they always ask him if we need help.  He's like, "not me, buddy, talk to her!"  He's the perfect fiance because he loves to watch me play, so I don't have to share, haha!  I hope at 80 years old I'm still trying to save Zelda and Peach, or blasting zombies with shotguns.

Also, I don't watch any TV except for Adult Swim.  I'm an Adult Swim fanatic.  And a comic book and sci-fi/fantasy geek.  My fiance is too, which is why we're perfect for each other.  I think our TARDIS groom's cake is going to be the best part of the wedding.

I am nearly addicted to the internet and like watching stupid programs on TV to totally not think. I won't tell you the names of the programs bc they are Spanish ones.

Weddingbee. My friends tease me about it, but my roommate is the only one who really understands that I spend like 5 hours a day on this site.

I also watch teenager television. My favorite show lately? 90210. Yeah. The new one. Shameful......... I look forward to it more than Glee, Heroes, Ugly Betty or Heroes (the other shows I keep up with). :( Only Lost can top it.

I am a video game & anime addict. I played through the new batman 3 times before I let my finacee send it back to Gamefly. I protested the entire time too. I actually did a STD mock up of our Xbox avatars using the Xbox font. Yea, it's that bad LOL. Come hell or high water, my gaming obsession will make it into the wedding! lol

The nice part is, especially when playing on line, guys can get ugly when your a girl. So, when that happens, teammate or not, I hunt them down and take them out. Boys like to think girls can't be gamers ;)

OMW I also obsessively read 2 webcomics - Questionable Content and Gunnerkrigg Court. Hahahaa... nhlchick you reminded me, because the QC cast is currently at a, uh, what do you call it ... sci-con? or something like that, where people dress up in costumes and act out their games in real life.... okay I'll stop now ;)

arobb81 I'm not a big gamer, but they always approach the BF in a games shop when it's me who owns the consoles! They ask him and I reply though ;)

Embarrassing/weird things? I ALWAYS look at rings. I will be doing it when I've been married 50 years. No pressure now boy. I go to tap and ballet even though I'm rubbish and have only been doing them for 6 and 2 months respectively. This is funny as I have all the grace of a brick. I LOVE trampolining (sad I don't get to go anymore) and I enjoy doing cross stitching!

Hmmm.... I guess it would be my blog. None of my friends (and especially not FI) are very big into online stuff and I'm a bit embarrassed by how much I like blogging. :) The only people who even know I have a blog are FI, and two of my good friends. I think my family would think I was weiiiiiiiird. haha.

My other random hobby that I don't find embarrassing but is certainly unusual for someone my age is that I like quilting.

    @Daydreamwanderer: I love Gunnerkrigg Court!

I draw, which doesn't really sound embarassing, but I don't like to show people even though I've gotten pretty good (if I say so myself ^_^). Primarily because I draw Harry Potter characters and characters from tv shows and movies as well as unique characters and post them on DeviantArt. ^_^ I let Mr Spin see, but warn him that any mocking or teasing, no matter how good natured, loses him his viewing rights. I'm probably over sensitive about it, but there you go. ^_^

Well, for totally random - I make miniature food for dollhouses. I do sell it on Etsy, which I guess makes it more legit, (??) and (not to toot my own horn too much), they are really detailed and can take hours to make them - but yeah, I get crazy looks when I tell people that!

Embarassing - I LOVE those crapy VH1 love shows like "Rock of Love", and the Maury paternity shows. I know they are terrible, but I love them. FH calls it my "junky TV", but at the start of the week, he does program the DVR to record all my "junky TV" - what a guy! :)

I guess mine would be fantasy football.  I'm so NOT competitive in any other aspect of my life, but FF just turns me into a jerk!  I get crazy obsessed with injury reports and trade waivers.  The Hubs and I are in the same league and I just beat him this week!  Boy, I was talking so much trash!

Cross stitching/needlepoint.  My mom and gram taught me how to do it from when I was very little and I'm pretty good at it.  I've made some really beautiful things as gifts, but I never make anything for myself!

I'm on weddingbee way too often considering I'm married... I still like to look at wedding dresses too, and I looked at them before I was engaged sometimes, not neseccarily because I was picking mine out, but I just liked to look. I try to kind of keep it on the down-low (heh) so as not to freak Mr. Joe out... thats probably about it lol

I watch too much trashy TV, like America's Next Top Model and The Hills. And, I'm like @CorgiTales. I blog, but no one "in real life" really knows about it because they're not into online stuff and they totally wouldn't get it! I have a personal journal and a wedding blog. My FI knows that I have the personal journal, but he's not allowed to read it. Ha! And he has no idea that I have a wedding blog - he would think that was just silly! :)

totally weddings. i am obsessed with all things weddings and spend HOURS on the internet daily searching for everything and anything about them. i actually think it may be an addiction if there is such a thing. it's embarrassing because i'm not engaged and no one really knows the extent of it.  here you may have got a glimpse since i have over 3300 posts in four months, but trust me it's bad.  and i actually love it which makes it even worse. i think i would seriously go through withdrawal if i couldn't look at wedding porn.

    I'm really into travel research.

Whenever I know someone (even a casual acquaintance or coworker) who's planning a vacation I ask where they want to go, for how long, what kind of places they want to stay etc. and then research it for them. The nerdiest part is that I've been doing this since I was a kid. I used to make spreadsheets for my parents comparing various vacation locales so that they could decide where to go.

And no, I'm not a travel agent!

yeah - my blog. :D i LOVE when random people on the 'net (or on my internet forums - sorry bees, i'm cheating on you, lol) read my blog! HOWEVER i'd be totally embarrassed for my husband or friends to read it! it's all about my low-carb life.

I'm huge into my "lifestyle" as I went low-carb this year for my health. My husband CONSTANTLY rolls my eyes when I take pictures of food that I make - whether it's dinner or dessert or whatever...to put on my blog.

    Can I shamelessly plug it?

    http://keriannmb.blogspot.com/

Also - I LOVE listening to podcasts! and my forums...yeah - i'm on the 'net WAY too much (including when i'm at work)

mr. bee: editing wiki's is nothing, my FI has a painting table set up in our living room so he can paint his minature orks for Warhammer and occassionally has friends over where they take over my kitchen table with their little figurines and roll dice for a few hours. It's a good thing I love him for all of his geekiness.

Count me in for the trashy tv club. I am not proud to admit that I love America's Next Top Model. Tyra Banks is 10 kinds of crazy, but I love it.

@Kate-I religously watch ANTM every week...same with the Vampire diaries and Family Guy. lol.

Probably reading. It surprises me how many people think I'm weird because I can read a book any time, any where. If I'm really into it I can read one in less than a day. *blush*

@His Barista. It's been a long time since I've read a super good book, but I get that way too lol I was pushing a stroller up the sidewalk as the little girl I nanny for was taking a nap, reading. A woman stopped me and asked me how I could do it lol Hubby also finds it really strange that when I read, I basically tune everything out. I just can't read and listen at the same time! So he'll say something and I'll basically be oblivious. My brother learned not to bother me while I was reading, now it's hubby's turn lol
