Hi hive. I showed my fiance an ivory flower girl dress that I’d picked out for our flower girl. Sadly, he didn’t like it at all and asked why isn’t the dress white. I explained to him that my dress isn’t white but ivory and the flower girl should match.
So I have to ask what color is your wedding gown? White or Ivory? I thought that the whole white vs ivory wedding dress rule was outdated and women now pick whichever color they look best in.

I have very fair skin and white just looks weird on me, so I chose ivory. It doesn’t look that different, on my dress at least. My Fiance has seen it and he really didn’t notice that it wasn’t white.

I am the palest person I know, and I like white on me, but I know I’d disappear in my dress in photos, so I went with ivory.

I didn’t think too much about it when I bought it. After the fact somebody commented when I was showing it to them that it wasn’t white. Then I panicked a bit lol. Now I’m not too worried about it anymore. I saw the white version in the store the other day, and thought that is really white. Too white. I think the Ivory will work out better in the pictures anyways.

I do not like ivory at all, just something about it… I don’t know …
It looks dirty to me, like its been put up in a closet for years and has yellowed haha
I’m weird… 🙁

I choose ivory. I really wanted traditional white, but with lace white just looks too harsh so I ended up with a soft delicate ivory.

I am very fair and pale (redhead) but have warm undertones so went with ivory. White just washes me out, in a wedding dress or otherwise! Ivory “warms me up”!

Traditional white, all the way, I’m not opposed to ivory but I prefer white.

Whoahaaa … I’m the first ‘other’
I just don’t care much for the white and ivory gown’s. I love some color.
I love Ian Stuart’s dresses. My gown was old pink (greyisch pink).

I’m very fair, so I chose ivory. Overall, I almost always favor ivory over white. It seems more refined then white, especially with certain bridal fabrics. Then again, I think white looks gorgeous on women with olive or dark skin!

@PoeticDoveInLA: LoL.. that’s exactly what my mom said when the bridal consultant as how I felt about ivory. My said it looks dirty but then she fell in love with the ivory sample I tried on. I think it depends on the material.

My gown is white AND ivory. I personally favor ivory, but I love the white underlay because it gives it a unique contrast.
