My fiancé was my something old.  Just kidding!

I wore a garter that had been my grandmothers.  You could also use an heirloom peice of jewelry.

My FI’s mother said it was tradition for all of her daughters to wear her first wedding ring. I would be no different. Therefore, it will be my FMIL’s wedding ring

My great-grandmother’s pearl necklace. My grandmother kept it and has it displayed next to a picture of her mom wearing the necklace with her as a baby. We call it the shrine. 🙂 Anyway, the necklace is gorgeous and all my female cousins have worn/will wear it.

Mine will be my grandma’s wedding set.  She passed away almost 5 years ago so it’ll be nice to feel like I have a piece of her with me.

One of my nanas rings, she passed away when I was 3, my dad gave it to me 2 years ago. I try to have something from my granpa with me too, he passed away in november and it’s still really hard, it would have been his 91st birthday 2 weeks ago.  So it feels like I have a part of them with me on our day!

I was named after my great grandmother, before she passed she gave me a locket with our initial on it.  She told me that many women in our family wore it on their wedding day.  She said out of all of her grandchildren and great grandchilren (she had a ton!) I was the only one named for her and she wanted me to have it.  I think it’s beautiful but it’s not really in style anymore and it’s pretty big.  I’m going to have it added to my bouquet 🙂

My wedding ring was my great grandmother’s antique ring, so that was my something old. I agree with the other posters that borrowing something of your mom’s or grandma’s or something would work 🙂 and cross off two things if you borrow it!

My something old will be a pink waterfall ring my mother gave me, that her mother gave her before that. I need to have it resized though.
